Like all U.S. domestic flights, the catering is so lousy and has been that way for years with U.S. carriers. For a 5 hour flight, all they can give is just a beverage and pretzels. You definately need to bring your own food along with you, (if it is permitted), otherwise you go very hungry.

Transferring in Newark from domestic flights in Terminal C to International flights in Terminal B is extremely fast and simple. You walk down a flight of stairs as soon as you get out of the plane and take 5 minute ride on a shuttle bus to terminal B. The whole process takes 15 minutes. Terminal B to Terminal C is a terrible process. You clear customs, leave the terminal and take the air train, go through security check and walk great distances. I doubt if you can do this in one hour.

I flew United both locally within the U.S. and long-haul across the Pacific within the last two weeks. I tell you it was by far the WORST flight experience of my life. I paid the lowest fair available, and United made sure I'm assigned the WORST seat of all 6 flights. They even skipped me during snack handout time! I'm going to try to fly a non-U.S. based airline next time... even if it means I have to pay a little bit more. Better to pay more to foreign airlines that treat you right than to pay more to U.S.-based airlines that nickel and dime you.

You should be thankful that you flew on a newer model of the 737. This plane had an infamous flaw that caused two crashes that killed everyone on board. The planes were on final approach to their respective airports when their rudders jammed, sending them into a spiral straight to the ground. Their pilots were taken by surprise and there was nothing they could do to rectify the issue. Once the source of the problem was discovered, Boeing made changes to the jets

If you are referring to the 737 MAX (see 4:39), then I have a few corrections. If this is not what you are referring to, then please forgive me
First, it is their newest 737 model, so the one being flown is this video is actually older.
Second, the rudder was not the problem. To preface, the engines are placed further forward than they should be due to them being larger and otherwise not having enough ground clearance. This results in a forward shift of the center of gravity (which I personally think is a manageable issue provided there are no stability issues). Boeing wanted to counter this CG shift, so they created a software called MCAS. Tied to the angle-of-attack (AoA) sensors, this would sense that the nose was pitching up unnaturally, and it would automatically trim the aircraft to rectify the issue.
There were multiple problems with MCAS. The biggest was that it was only tied to a single AoA sensor, and these sensors are extremely prone to failing (which is why most planes have 4 or more). This meant that if one sensor gave a faulty reading, MCAS would start pitching the plane down. To make matters worse, Boeing failed to publicize MCAS properly, so 737 MAX pilots at that time had no idea MCAS existed, let alone how to turn it off if it activated erroneously. There was also no reliable way to override its effects at that time. This is what caused those two crashes (btw neither of which crashed on approach, rather about 10 minutes after takeoff).
