Let me share one story of mine .... I learned fullstack and frontend dev very well in my college days and I joined in a very famous mnc with 3lpa. Even after doing a good job .... my manager ( mca ) said ... you are just a " tier 3 " btech passout, you didnt learned anything, how are you saying that you know this you have done this !!!!! .....and even in this companies your so called mentor/managers are present just to make you look down, didnt encourage you .... but yes there are some exceptions present as well.

as far as my experience says Always have a goal doesn't matter if the path is blurry you will figure out on the way but if you don't have a goal and you have plenty of resources, still you will never be able to utilize it efficiently and that regret will keep piling up if you are struggling to decide an aim start making small-small goals or better to call it as daily/ weekly tasks and figure out your interest and what you really want to do ultimately

Prepare for gate 2024 in 6-7 months (I'm lateral entry with civil background no prior cse knowledge, gotta start from scratch) 2. Learn git, C++, DSA, etc and try to apply for internships and gsoc in 2024 January and later (aim are internship at FAANGM) And start to prepare for gate 2025 from Jan-feb 2024 (I'll get whole 1 yr. Prep) P.s. my father is against me studying for mtech even from an iit (btw I'm from tier 3 cllg, 0% placement) Kindly reply !!! 🥲
2 options suits better to you Make you base strong first in cse via discrete maths then toc and then any subject your want from sir playlist, focus on one thing at time dont go for multitasking you will end up with nothing Now your in 2nd year so you wont be able to pickup in this little time for gate 2024 its okay take your time you will make it
