I don't wanna take anything away from england, considering they played really well, compared to our german team, who where one of the most dissapointing teams this world cup. But whenever England will win the world cup or not, what will the future hold for these youngsters. The Premier League hasn't been the best breeding ground in the last couple of years, when it comes to new young big english stars (except for maybe Harry Kane) and they might end up as bench warmers for the foreign players, who already have proven themselves in their leagues. If England wants to succeed in the future, maybe some of those english players should play outside of england, like Spain, Germany or even Italy. It might benefit them.

I am also Canadian, and as a Canuck i am still waiting on thay side to get it together. I still recall when living in Venezuela back in 82' people made fun of me for having such a weak side represent my second home, but in the back of my mind i was happy to even be there. Venezuela has cracked the top 50 in world rankings a few times, while its youth sides (male and female) just keep moving forward year by year. That is very exciting. But about not taking it for granted, you are probably right, bit i cant say that i am as big of a sports fan as i used to be, and i am also not a huge nationalist for either Venezuela or Canada, but i care enough to keep up with things.
