Re-listen to the song. The mix and instrumentation are also outstanding. The bass heavy mix you can hear how the bass player actually step up in his cord progression which really carries the song other than Mori, of course. The music director did an amazing job with this whole session and Dave behind the mix has outdone himself.
Now Mori in this, although it was a walk in the park for her ,however, her dynamics were outstanding and the way sing came in late (purposely) but didn’t rush it just gave it a more jazzy feel to the whole song. I also love it that she does her own BGV’s which you hear on the back half of the song. Thanks for reacting to this.
