Agreed!! The app makes me want to pull may hair out. I love the camera, definitely not perfect but excellent in the parts where it matters most. But for a camera released in 2024, you’d think they’d have the wireless connection bit figured out.
I never have problems with WiFi conecction on any cameras i have, fuji, sony lumix or olympus, try deactivate automatic conecction to all of your WiFi on your mobile , there are tended to find internet.
I love that they have an interval timer but I wish it would refocus for each shot like my canon does. I’ve found if I move just slightly I won’t be in focus. That’s the same on my other Fuji cameras too though so I’d love to see that fixed someday. Love the photos you got here!
@@gabrielbailey802I’ve always used the photo&tech IR remote from Amazon and even with something like a a7rii results have been great. Helped me get great shots with me and my toddler :)
Thank you! I'd heard it was bad but was surprised at how limited and unreliable it was. It's actually a pretty new app too... I think it might just not be their focus!
I use a Coman Zero-Y tripod, the camera is mounted at the bottom, then I can rotate it sideways. To film, I then use a magic arm with a shark clip attached to the tripod for a second camera to film the BTS
@@gabrielbailey802 Thanks very much! After asking these question I went about with my research and I was basically set on the coman zero, now I know thats what I need.

Totally agree! loving the camera, but funny how they can't figure out something that seems as if it would be simple!

This video answered so many questions that I had. Thank you for putting in the time, mann🙋
No problem, I appreciate you dropping by and leaving a comment!
i use burst mode, it takes a few after the timer goes off!
Yes, discovered it at the end of the vid! funny how the combo of continous shooting and timer produces a burst, but I'm not mad about it!
I'm enjoying your videos, Gabriel. Keep it up!
Thanks Glenn, glad you like them!
The Reala colours look incredible. Also very lucky you found a building that was wearing the same outfit as you
haha thank you! location scouting made easier by cycling through the city everyday to work!
Subscribed, looking foward to more x100vi videos.
Thank you! glad to have you onboard!

Also where a flip screen would be great 😅
Thank you I appreciate that! Definitely going to have to experiment a bit more and find out what works for me. Interval timer is next up!
Your color correction is so lovely!
I really appreciate that, thank you!
For me, the easiest way for self shots is still with a Sony camera and the cheap $10 wireless remote. 3 second timer, 5 shot bursts. Easy.
might have to have a look on eBay!

Does it have interval shooting? If so maybe try that. Do a time lapse and just sort it out later. Maybe the face detection would work better then.
It does, but you can't access it through the app and it's buried in the menu! definitely going to have to try it next time though!
May i please know your film recipe used in the photos of this video
hey, I used the Reala Ace simulation!
important question of all. :D What recipe u used on your pictures you did? Thanks ma men!
Haha good question! Been using Reala Ace a lot with some tweaks in Lightroom
Great video! Shame the app seems so out dated!

whats your tripod setup for this? Does the camera sits vertically? dumb question but hey

@@ricardoguazz YEah I love it. Great alternative to the Peak Design at a fraction of the cost and even lighter weight
Is it shot on the X100 also? How did you connect the mic?
Nope, shot on Sony ZV-E1, but my latest video is all about shooting video on this camera if you’re interested!
interval timer is much more useful than the timer imo.
Good to know! Going to have to give it a try!
