It's a calming feeling seeing a static shot of an old game environment that you had explored as a kid like this, realizing that it's always remained there, sitting empty and quietly, for decades after your adventures there as a kid had ended. It's like revisiting an old place from your youth and reminiscing on all the fun times you once had there.

I always thought that the Sky levels in SMB1 were such a mood that I remember at one point I had learned to mess around with free camera in debug mode just to take a screenshot and make it a wallpaper years ago; truly a real mood to watch one of its levels for this mix :)
i was so confused reading that cause i thought smb1 was super mario bros 1 for a sec so i was desperately trying to figure out how it correlated to the video
@@Christopher-be1qc This is Super Monkey Ball. There have been sequels but most people consider 1 and 2 the best in the series. you can play it on dolphin emulator
Favorite Photek story : he was walking down the street alone late at night and a car pulled up and all these punk kids inside started talking shit to him and yelling, “ hey loser!” and drove away. But he said in the background, they were blasting one of his tracks!😂
These renders are absolutely amazing. I really miss the days when 3d art and electronic music like this was bleeding edge and the true potential of computers and the internet was still unknown. The 1990s was a very exciting time to be alive.
i hate my job so much at the moment that i would rather sort tiny lego pieces so this playlist is making it bearable. it's so good. thankyou for blessing us with it
You do a great job of making proper attributions to the original artists in your mixes. I love knowing where the visuals are from & the year tracks were produced (and obv the artist too). Great job showcasing your research & giving props where props are due. Thanks!
I'm not a stoner, never was. But this style of music does help with my mental health problems I become very positive when I have it on as background music.
I saw the SMB thumbnail and knew this one would be good! It was actually SMB Deluxe that got me into jungle/intelligent DnB in the first place. The level designs are just iconic with the soundtrack and has stayed with me for many many years now, thanks for the great mix ❤
somehow this music makes you pop. like break dancing pop locking. i don’t know how to but i do when i listen. just telling you. it has a special vibe to it.

I don't really understand why, but this Genre aswell as the 90's gaming aesthetic has grown so much on me lately. I even started playing my old games (GBA Games, N64 and old PC classics). Maybe the present sucks so much I am subconsciously trying to travel to better times..
I love remembering the memories from PS1 era when i was a kid. I was especially excited about demo discs, because they had so many interesting games, and the main menu vibes were very trippy, the music was hypnotic and i felt like Alice in Wonderland.. Check out this video 'PS1 - All Euro Demo Menu Variants 1995-2004' : th-cam.com/video/oCbqsT8VMBo/w-d-xo.html in my opinion the better variants start at 8:25 and onwards
It was just an amazing time for a lot of things. Music. Games. Graphics. Clothing. There was the excitement of the coming millennium and the sky felt like the limit. Something happened after 2001 where we all just lost the zing. Hope we get it back and move forward.
All choices haven been increible, I never comment in any video I see but your compilations are just so great!, Aswell, as on all your other compilations are perfect, please make more! They are perfect for relaxing and studying.
Going through my old stuff back home, I found my SBM1 GameCube box, sadly it was empty . . . not sure what might had happened to the CD. Anyways, it reminded me of this video, and now I'm here again :-)

this is legit by far the best drum and bass compilation I've found
This is the sound of the 'Sunrise Sets' in the Jungle rooms of the late 90's. Pure nostalgia.
Dude, having the hardest time on mushies, 3 hours of playing everything, THIS got me...
fuckin vibes dude. Hope you had a good trip.
What are the odds? I just tripped a week ago to this mix
Good times fellas
Listening to this music while tripping and outside watching the leaves shake in the trees is a vibe for sure
You guys actually _like_ tripping...?
I appreciate that the video isn't a 10 second loop of something or extremely distracting. Perfect background

The smoke rings from the little house at the back are comforting.

this is really beautiful and calming but also really nostalgic feeling. several parts just reminded me of spyro in a way.
Blue Mar Ten - Believe Me caught my attention!
Haven't listened to drum and bass in many years, yet the algorithm sent me here. Liked and subbed, very good stuff!
Amazing curation, because they're not all repeats of the same drum loops
As a huge Super Monkey Ball fan, the stages visual are just perfect with this in the background! Keep it going with the good work 👍
