It fixed my phone and I have the same exact one that you have, but the only reason I wanted to fix it was to access my old photos that I had saved, but the program completely cleared my phone out and rebooted it. So for anyone who is trying to access their phone for the same reason. (Try Another Way) Maybe try bringing your phone to the Windows Store or just try calling them and telling them your problem.They might help you access it without clearing it out.

Windows Phone Internals is notorious for crashing and bricking phones when used under Windows 8.1. The solution appears to be using version 1.2 rather than 2.x.
For me the phone is now in Qualcomm Emergency Download Mode. And if I want to unlock the bootloader, the app just start crashing. Can someone help me to install WP? Pls. P.S.: I'm using Nokia Lumia 520
