So this song was very close to when he went from a nobody to being a global superstar. The guy used to get mobbed in public if there was the slightest hint he was about. The guy ended up becoming a recluse after becoming famous. He never did famous well. he talks about it in many songs. He went from dirt poor to a millionaire in a very short space of time and became the most popular artist at the time.
This rhyme scheme is crazy🤯, another one of my favorites

Imo this is his magnum opus. This song perfectly encapsulates eminem as an artist. The technical ability, the content is compelling, the visuals are dark and oppressive. And idc this is top 5 instrumentals of all time for me

He has a very particular and unique way of covering personal, inspiring topics and experiences, whether positive or that marked him. This song is amazing for its rhyme pattern, where he spends much of the track putting a rhyme every 3 syllables, but still making the phrasing sound natural instead of clumsy.

Yeah, as someone who writes, the hardest thing ever is to make the rhyming sound "incidental" instead of "intentional." Especially if you plan on spamming it.

Eminem is known to be an introvert, despite his public persona he is actually a shy person when out in public.
When his daughter graduated he didn't sit in the crowd with other parents, he watched her from a classroom so he didn't steal the limelight from her.
The man has so many layers to him he has become something of a mystery. His lyrics are studied as part of the English Literature curriculum at Oxford University alonside the likes of William Shakespeare, that's not something that anyone can achieve on a whim, that's legendary status.
That is legendary. Also, y'all have told me things like "Stan" was added to the dictionary. I'm just learning a lot and it's all been really eye-opening and impressive and amazing.

Great reaction! This is one of my favourite songs of his. This song along with the entire album (the Marshalls lathers LP) was a response to all the media backlash from his first album and is a giant “fuck you” to society and the critics. Two songs I think you’d really enjoy and appreciate are off his next album (the Eminem show). I’ll provide the links below. The first song is a song to his daughter after he got custody over her when his wife was dealing with addiction and went to rehab. It’s really sweet and unique because he actually sings the first half of the song. The second one called “dads gone crazy” is another song where his daughter is actually featured on the song. The backstory was that he was just in the studio with here and she said “My dads gone crazy”. He explained in an interview that he got her in the booth told her to repeat it than wrote a song around it. Check them out whenever you get the chance. Keep going, loving from South Africa!❤

This album was ny introduction to Eminem when I was a preteen, my dad gave it to me without knowing. This song was probably one of my favorites. I keep putting off listening to the album again in case I want to do a reaction vid myself eventually lol

You really have to react to Lose Yourself which is considered as his best single and one od the best motivational songs ever. You should also chech Without Me which is also super popular but its one od the funny songs
I understand why you react to the lyric videos but Eminems music videos are pretty good and definitely worth checking out. They really compliment his lyrics and almost always have high production values. Songs like Rap God, Role Model, 3 A.M., Godzilla, Guts Over Fear, Forgot About Dre, The Monster, Beautiful, Love The Way You Lie, Gnat and even this one, The Way I am, all have great music videos. I hope you will at least check his videos out on your own when you get a chance after you have reacted to these songs on your channel.

Few fun facts he once paid Kmart to stay open late so he could shop alone cause he wanted to feel normal and likes to be out shopping but with fame isn’t allowed to be normal and go places. And when Covid was at its peak he wore his mask and went for a bike ride with his mask on so no one could recognize him and ended up falling off a curb lol. He told that in a interview lol

Hi Freya you should react to the song White America he raps about what's happening sense he became a rapper.
What a wild time in Ems life and America as a whole. I mean, the President, Congress and everyone else was trying to blame Em for the problems with our youth. Besides Ice Cube, I never saw an artist protested like Em. Songs like White America, Don't approach me and Mosh are great songs birthed from those protests.
Plenty of artists have been harshly contested, the entirety of rock music was basically put on trial, watch the senate hearings with Frank Zappa or Twisted Sister for example, and another artist who was contested and feared even more than Eminem is named in this very song: Marilyn Manson.

This is the part where I think we have to ask whether or not you are okay with political discussion on your channel. He starts to get into it a little bit here with the Marilyn Manson line, but it gets a lot heavier in songs like "White America", and goes all out in songs like "Mosh" or "Untouchable" or "Nowhere Fast" (especially the extended version of that last one). Unfortunately there are a weird number of people who consider themselves hardcore Eminem fans who are intensely offended by his political views, so there is a possibility that arguments could arise, so you deserve fair warning about that.
His rant at the end there was about how so many people in the media and "family values" special interest groups were constantly decrying him, and other people like Marylin Manson (who appears in the video for this song and even released a remix of it), for using violent lyrics, and saying they were warping the minds of children and destroying the social order. So he's like "YOUR kids are killing each other in their schools and using drugs, and I'M the problem?!"
He delves into this a lot more in "Sing for the Moment" and "White America".
