Filling in the lake for a parking lot is such a stupid idea. That parking lot could easily go inside the Magic Kingdom and replace the Rivers of America instead. And they could call it something like "Cars Land" since all of the guests' cars are there.

Disney’s approach to virtual queues/fastpasses is so frustrating and convoluted. Which sucks because they invented the system, and it was a phenomenal solution. Genie Plus, Individual Lightning Lanes, virtual queues, it’s too much.

Thank god Disney is filling in the lake, I’m so sick of having to look at that ugly lake when I visit. A massive parking lot will be much nicer to look at. Plus the lake was keeping the surrounding area cooler which just was awful. During those frigid Florida summers I always cursed the lake for providing a cool breeze to the park at times. Now I won’t have to worry about that now that we’re getting a massive parking lot that’ll do a great job of keeping up warm. #fillinthelake

Now as a local it basically makes it my second to last choice (Animal Kingdom def last) just because it's such a pain in the ass to get to and from. Yes, you can do resort shenanigans and park closer and take the monorail/walk, but it sure does make ya appreciate just pulling up to all the other parks and just walking in the gates without a commute each way, especially at park close when it's nut to butt crowds getting out.

There aren’t as many trains overall because most routes would take trains far more time and money compared to flying. Trains take too long and if they were a bullet train it would be so extremely expensive for the distances these trains would have to cross compared to flying. 99% of people work pay more money and spend more time when they can spend less time and money, simple math. The math just doesn’t math in the same way as smaller nations with cities closer together.

I have a remote insurance job that provides me amazing health insurance and the job was not hard to get whatsoever. This type of life is very possible, people dilute themselves, you don’t need a car if you live in the right places. I’ve lived in small cities/ mostly towns in Maine, Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida etc all in which I biked to groceries, biked to town. You can’t expect a city that was born almost less than half a decade ago because a Disney park was opened there to have the most beautiful layout imaginable. There are beautiful towns and cities naturally incorporated into the landscape, with gorgeous natural parks dotted endlessly all over. The funny thing is you can easily get a hotel that provides a shuttle from the airport and also to the park…many of these hotels are on I drive so you can walk to lots of food and other options with no car…
I have a love/hate relationship with Magic Kingdom. It is incredible and magical and awesome, but so damn crowded and so damn expensive. We ended up paying for ILLs for a ton of stuff because it was so busy and we didn't plan on coming back any time soon. What's another couple hundred bucks on top of the thousands you're already spending?

Disney is trying to put in more coasters but they perfected high capacity rides in the 70’s (pirates, small world etc). Two, it enables every hotel to charge extra for its "Lakeview" rooms. Three, all the dirt was moved up and under MK so that the underground Utilidor system could operate. When you're in MK, you're actually on the second floor of the park. In Florida, with its very high water table, this was the only way to utilize that system.

It's a THEME park, not an amusement park, and a very pro family one at that. I can't preach what I didn't practice, trust me I understand , I have 2 daughters and I definitely took them to Disney. My girls grew up with Disney princess bedrooms and blanket sets and toys and that was their biggest thing in life was the Disney princesses, so of course I took them there. Plus my brother who lives outside of Orlando in Davenport would buy them passes every year because his wife my sister-in-law works for Disney so they would give them season passes each year and so whether I took them or my brother took them or their other aunt & uncle took them, my children grew up going to Disney along with their cousins several times each year most years. and if I could take it all back I would. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I would erase that maniacal mouse from their memories !

I can't preach what I didn't practice, trust me I understand , I have 2 daughters and I definitely took them to Disney. My girls grew up with Disney princess bedrooms and blanket sets and toys and that was their biggest thing in life was the Disney princesses, so of course I took them there. Plus my brother who lives outside of Orlando in Davenport would buy them passes every year because his wife my sister-in-law works for Disney so they would give them season passes each year and so whether I took them or my brother took them or their other aunt & uncle took them, my children grew up going to Disney along with their cousins several times each year most years. and if I could take it all back I would. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I would erase that maniacal mouse from their memories !
I'm sorry Disney is HORRIBLE!!! As a coaster enthusiast who's kids are now adults, I WLL NEVER, EVER visit ANY of the Disney parks!!! And I would never recommend anyone else do either. And this is coming from someone whose sister-in-law works at Disney.
