This has been my favorite & most practical video on canvas storage to date. Thank you for sharing! The rest of my supplies, 2 portfolio books, arrive by the end of the week & I can't wait to place the many new canvases under the mattress to press. 🙂

Hi! Joan....I watch TH-cam on TV, so I haven't posted any comments. I love all your idea's, which I have been doing I bought my portfolio from Jerry's Art Arrama much cheaper I got mine on sale for 12.99. A 13x19 inch and has 24 pages. Also has a black sheet in each folder. Just printed your specs to put in a note book. Thank you very much Joan... you make my day. In America they are called cloth pins also, we go way back many of diapers I hung out.

In Australia we call them clothes pegs. It is so interesting to see how you store and organize your paintings.

Thanks for showing your great ideas for storage. I have 2 different sizes of the zippered bags that I use but NEED the larger ones that you have shown! I also use a cube system and can think of multiple uses for those zippered bags in them. Thanks again!

Glad it was helpful! I use the A4 sized bags to organize those small items that would otherwise get lost in the cube. I also use them for filing paper.

They're called clothespins in Canada also. I've also started storing my completed diamond paintings in a portfolio. :)

It's funny what words you forget when you are recording a video. Thanks for watching!

OMG we have almost the exact same storage system. I use the posterboard canvas holder as well, but I go to dollar tree and buy the posterboards (2 for $1) and use those as pages to separate the canvases to hold the ones that haven't been worked on or the big ones I've finished and haven't framed yet. I use the page portfolios as well for smaller finished paintings.

I haven't tried using the poster board in between the canvases. That might be a good way to store diamond paintings larger than my portfolio book. Thanks for watching!

What is your favourite size DP. Mine is 30x40 cm then 2nd fav is 40x50 cm. I'm too slow at DP to do many bigger ones. I have done bigger (i.e. 45x60cm)but only one really big one so far. I just bought an almost identical folder like yours a few days ago to store my DP''s. Enjoyed the video. Oh and the things you have on your DP's to hang them up, at least in Australia, are called 'pegs' haha.

I think I am gravitating toward 40x50 or 45x60 as my favorite mainly since they are big enough to get some detail but small enough that it will still fit in my art portfolio.
After I recorded the video, I went to look up what the "pegs" are called, and they're called "clothespins" in the US. I guess that shows how much I prepare before making a video.

I store them in my cube storage bins. I think I explained it in this video too.

I mostly paint 16x20 thin canvases and I have no safe way to store them all without them bending or being damaged I just stack them with paper in between but I would like a nicer method :(

I recently rolled up my canvas of that size and put them in vinyl roll keepers on my door. I'm not sure if it is better or worse than putting them flat
