Honestly the sugar beets are a free crop with the field. You could rent a tow behind harvester and stick a worker on a tractor while you go and work on other things, and come back periodically to unload the trailer. Sell the crop and make back a little bit of the money that you spent on the field.
I wouldn't even rent it fair and square. Id ask a neighbor who also has them planted and needs a worker for a couple days. Check over the machinery and clean my field up first so that they can see our honest work ability. Just pay a rental fee or take a pay deduction or both
It's goana take money to rent and a lot of time so in the end it won't be profitable at all in that time you could plow the field cultivate it and plant it with another crop wich will be more efficient than harvesting that crop
@@Aaaaaaeeeeaaa Actually Sugarbeet is considered the most profitable crop as it has very good yield. Potatoes are up there on the list of profitable crops too. Canola is actually like bottom of list for profitability lol
So honestly worth harvesting and pocketing some cash
Harvest both the potatoes and sugar beets with the harvester pulled behind the tractor. Interesting to see a crop harvested you probably wouldn't have planted
No
For everyone wondering to buy the whole map it cost 19,009,968 dollars plus 1.5 million for the bga. Unfortunately for pickle he needs 18,223,872 dollars plus 1.5 million for the bga to complete buy the rest of the map.
Ngl your comment need more likes for the time it took to figure that out
Not that it matters in a grand scheme: 20mil is still 2 orders of magnitude a lower number than 1 billion that was the initial goal.
but he pretty much needs to buy the map to earn a billion.....and have a set of tractors and implements for each field lol. probably needs to get to making 10million a day by august in order to finish before the year is up
@@Glushaksky yea 20 mil is cake compared to a billion. needs to be making that every game day
hey hey, that means a long series ;)
Yes you need to do the potatoes and sugar beets, they are a free crop. A nice way to make some money back. You could also cut the sugar beets for the biogas plant.
You could plant half canola and half sunflowers so that you're not harvesting everything all at once. That way, you can make both canola oil AND sunflower oil.
In my opinion you bought the potatoes, so you have to do them. Make impulsive purcheses, win dull harvesting.😉
The sugabeets you should harvest, but as you got the field from the other map, you are not obligatet to do so.
I got into fs22 because of your content. I would honestly love to see the potato and sugar beet harvest just so I see how to do it correctly, plus you would make back some of the money you spent.
I think the rule should be that you harvest what you get when you purchase the land and THEN you can change the crop after it's harvested.
He should have to harvest only what was planted when he brought the land
Yes you are donig potatoes and sugarbeets
Hahahah
Do not have to do the sugar beets but you do have to do the potatoes because you bought the field with the potatoes but the field with the sugar beets you bought in the buy map series. All the fields you buy from now on you do have to harvest the crop that's in them
So I’ve taken the challenge of earning 1 billion in my farm and what I found is the best to do is to get the anthem 6x4 and the distinction triple hopper and buy fields 22 23 and 24 and make them one big field. And I mostly plant canola. I fill up my trailers and take them to the train and let them sit there until prices are high and then use the train to sell them. It’s a bit of a long process to plow and seed the field but it gives good profit. I’ve filled up 4 of trailers and sold them at the high for close to a million dollars. So it’s a long process but it helps out in the long run
if you do someting like wheat, you can turn it into flour. turn the flour into bread...
Do you use the oil production or nah
@@andreasdemeyere646 I haven’t really learned how to do any production stuff yet
Honestly I don’t watch the videos too much for the gameplay. More just to see the funny pickle antics and punchlines
You should do both potatoes, sugar, beets but only lease the equipment you need
Been loving this series, i tried playing this before but it was so complicated, this series made me fall in love with the game. I noticed that you say you read our comments a lot and try to do a lot of suggestions. You cant please everyone brother please don't get burnt out! you're a wholesome guy.
Repaint is only worth it when you're selling the vehicle. You get /slightly/ more value back than it costs to repaint. It's not a huge deal, but it /is/ a profit.
/good to know/
The branter trailers are the best vanilla trailers in my opinion, the 3 axle trailer would really help you out, I think as it comes it’s like 22,000L and your 6R will handle putting the smaller 2 axle trailer behind it, if you ever got enough crop to justify that.
Also if you have the patience, when you want a property and are trying to save as much money as you can, you can do the contracts on that property. Get paid to cultivate, plant fertilize, and weed the property and then buy it, fertilize a second time and sell the crop unless you get lucky enough for the previous owner planting a crop you need.
I would rather see a time lapse of the mundane tasks rather than just a jump cut
Especially with a game like this that doesn't show any tutorials.
At least some timelapse
do the roots!
If you agree to do a neighbors harvest on sugar beets maybe theyll let you check things out and do your field first for a small fee, i see you winning out though on this one
Do the potatos and sugar beets
Do the potato's and sugar beets but lease the equipment due to it being planted before you bought it
if you can, definitely harvest the sugar beets because they yield really well. if you could get a sugar production you could make tons of sugar, but that might not be great.
According to my calculations, it's going to take him 238 in-game years to finish this series
The dang resets are killing my guy, he keeps getting bored and taking losses instead of cheating.... I'm not sure he realizes what ONE BILLION actually is 😅
Since you’re buying the whole map now you should do one field of just bee’s 🐝
IDK if its just me, but whenever I run this map, the fields south of the farmstead get joined together. And most the other fields to increase efficiency.
Those two fields would be profitable tasks for AI but you don’t have to do do them if you do not want to.
Commented on the previous vid that i didnt agree with the merging, but in this setting, i can agree with the compromise! nice job! also voting for plow the beets and potatoes
I am glad I found a fair compromise! I took time to make sure it was as fair as possible :)
Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica. (Harvest the dang sugar beets and potatoes.)
do the potatoes and sugarbeets and instead of jump cutting do a time-lapse and try to make the vids a little longer because the two series are combined
Do the potatoes and sugar beets you could save the sugar beets for when you start getting into animals and say what the potatoes so that way you could start making your own pig feed
Thrilled you made the changes. You have taken two good series and turned it into one exceptional series. Thanks!
Glad to hear it!
Harvest, it's free crop
You should harvest the grass in may, august, and november for the most efficient time/money. Also rolling in between
Do both sugar beets and potatoes also combine the canola field with the hay field to make it bigger for more silage bales. Put sunflower in the field where the potatoes are
Sugarbeets are high volume and a very profitable crop. Don't TROW AWAY good money! Also you should add the "Additional Field info" That should tell you what growth stage the crops are at.
you should harvest the sugar beats.
You should get a mulcher. After harvesting, mulch the fields to increase the yield. I like the changes, good episode
I don't know maybe see about checking out a contract for the sugar beets and potatoes and seeing if you can use their equipment? I don't know you can't go see what the equipment's like.
I would harvest the sugar beet and potatoes to get back some of the cost plus they yield higher then grain
Ive been doing corn chaff silage with a forage harvester and its been paying really well. A forage harvester is a huge upfront cost obviously but i paid off the loan in 1 or 2 harvests
definitely wait the extra month for the grass to get the full yield. i also like the longer videos
Do the beets and potatoes but see if you can find some contracts for them. Do the contracts then use their equipment to do your own fields. I personally would keep the money from the contracta because you are trying to be come a billionaire but you could always edit the money away to RP that you offered to do their fields on exchange for use of the equipment. Either way you could always just have a worker do it.
Also is fish a mod? People always do chickens or cattle, why not do a fishery or is it a hatchery? I think a fishery processes fish to eat, a hatchery raises fish. So yeah, a hatchery?
Fish is a mod.
Just so you know you can use the 9m draper header for that combine.
Thank you for your amazing productions! Great capabilities in video making and ideas! Very educational!
You doing great Jake glad that you combined the 2 series together!
do the potatoes and sugar beets
Do you Potatoes, and Sugar Beets they are great cash crops.
Do the potatoes and suger beets
I'm thinking changing the fields aren't so bad but just stick to what your currently grow. Maybe think about expanding the bees, if its as good a return as people say it'd be good to get the new ones ready for the following year
Yes harvest the potatoes and sugarbeets
Love the series and you should live stream this series and you should do the sufar beets to get more money
Have to harvest. Thats the hardship
Do the sugar beats and potatoes lol
Sugar beat is actually good crop. You can make sugar with it or cut it and sell that way. Eatherway it is profit.
I'm gonna go with you're stuck with potatoes, but trash the beets. Also, you GOTTA buy that bale stacker/trailer. Between your own baling and any contract baling, it would definitely be worth the money.
Harvest the sugar beet and potatoes
Id say skip the sugarbeets or do them. Your choice.
But you did chose to buy the potatoe field. So that one you have to suffer your way through harvesting ;)
if you sell, it is worth it to repaint. it will add more resale value than it cost to paint. I've tested with tractors, as well as implements.
Do the potatoes and sugarbeats
Crisps and sugar, babèh!
i think you have to harvest the sugar beet
You should totally do the potatoes and sugar beets
i think you did good with the collab
Good job
Plow the Beets and Taters Pickle
You should put all the productions on storing cause if u put them on selling ur just getting 50% of the money distributing is good if u have another factory that needs that stuff cause itll trasport there and storing just puts out pallets which u can sell for full price so storing is the way too go for u
Yep gotta harvest both. You bought it you harvest it
You should use precision farming. A lot of farmers use agronomist to help them understand that the soil and crops need.
Part of the initial goal of the billion series was to do it all base game, no mods, no dlc. So as much as I like playing w precision myself, watching someone play bone stock is an interesting challenge.
i say with the sugar beet one time use of modded harvester
And if you get the Collassal havester you can do the beets and potatoes quickly.
Harvest the sugar beet and buy the sugar factory or place one
As far as maximizing grass harvesting, driver53 did a video on it. Turns out the max yield is if you harvest your grass in March, June, Sept and Nov.
Repainting is best right before selling. You'll get just a smidge more than you pay to repaint BTW. ONLY PAINT BEFORE SELLING! 😂
Free the bale!
(I missed a couple episodes:( )
(I also watched the entire video from the start without pausing it)
What about doing time lapses instead of cuts?
Harvest the beets and potatoes but allow a worker to do so with leased equipment
Lease the equipment and do the potatoes and sugar beets
I can't believe how long Pickle has dealt with the default red barn on this map. It's nice looking and all but I delete it every time. I just think its way too small!
Everyone is saying to harvest those crops but they don't know that it takes a lot of time to harvest those and in that time you could plow the field cultivate it and plant maybe even fertilize the field wich will make harvesting the crop not worth it Also isn't leasing not allowed ?
if you had been looking at that before you bought it , you could have used the DEV tool and changed it to something useful
RIP them up and get some canola in there! 🎉
I made 2 mill from silage and soy beans in 4 years (this is 2 mill in the bank with prob another 3 or 4 million in fields and equipment
You absolutely have to harvest both
Quick question. How do you learn this game as it doesn't have a tutorial. I know Formal Pickle has a dad and family? For knowing how to farm. But how did everyone else learn without any knowledge? Cause I downloaded this game not knowing anything and thought it sounded fun, but came to realise that a game this in depth doesn't have a tutorial?
It's a little difficult at first. The menu where you see map.and bank stuff, scroll down and there will be some info you can read through. But should be some tutorials on TH-cam also.
Here is a play thru I’m doing but I’m no longer uploading videos thought you might like is only purchase land you buy via the auction mod
Gotta do the potatoes and sugar beets. It's free money lmao
Do the potatoes and sugar beets
You need about 70000L of crop in the oil refinery to have enough to make a full year
do da potato
Also do the potatoes
Why the jump from Dec to July? What happened with the silage sale in winter?
Plow in the potatoes and sugar beets
Lease the harvester take the free money on the sugar beats.
Happy
I would hire a worker for the potato and sugar beet. They sell for a good chunk so I'd be worth it
I think u should plow beets\potatoes in
harvest both because they are worth a lot of money
So when will we be able to meet the neighbor?
I say easydev the beets to what was on the other save and plow potatoes to small to screw with
