Summary:
Country chart-topper Sara Evans brought her Southern charm to our studio in New York City on July 25th, performing a few tracks off of her new album <i>Words</i> . She began with the title-track "Words." Next came the moving story of love story cut short, "All the Love You Left Me," which Evans referred to as "one of her favorite songs that she's ever recorded." Evans closed out her set with a bang with "Marquee Sign," a cautionary tale of people not always appearing as they initially seem.

My wife recently passed, this song hits me so hard....perfect sentiment for those left behind with all the love , overflowing, no where to go . that's what grief really is, stopping the flow of love

I discovered this song the week my wife and son passed away. In march. This song hit me so hard. I listen everyday. Its been almost 4 months and I still cry Everytime I hear this song. I feel so empty. I do feel my wifes presence everyday and I know she's with me and loves me but it cant hold me or kiss me. I miss you baby. I miss you and our son so much. The day you died, I died with you. One day I will see you again. Hopefully soon.

This is absolutely perfect ~amazing song with words from the deepest part of the soul.
I echo some of the earlier sentiments..the emotion she puts into this song ( and many of her others!) just sends me to tears....and not crocodile tears!..cuts to the heart of my soul. Very painful, yet cleansing.

I will say that I think the album version missed the mark in that the production completely took away all of the elevation...not in what is missing but in what is not missing. This version flows. I suppose that happens with a lot of songs though, after you get out and start performing them. This may be one of my faves of her's...that's pretty much how I feel every time she puts out new music though.
