      Thank you Neil for the great conversations and many revelations about our local football scene.... I really hope, and want the series to be back, and hope something is in the pipeline. All the best in your endeavours, regardless... 😀😀😀

      It's a strange time to have a last episode. Is there another season in the pipeline? And on what platform?

    It's been a great 2 years listening to you guys (especially the local football segment).
    Thanks for making the local community talk constructively & believing in our local football scene again. The short reels have been really impactful (for those who haven't tuned in fully to your podcast).
    Please come back. 🙏

    Time for Singapore Premier League to have its own mobile app...one where we can see the clubs, players, fixtures, scores, events, tickets, merchandise, fan forums etc.

    Going to miss having the companionship, this series offered for local football fans.. with our very own Local Football Kaki-s : Neil Humphrey, Chia Han Keong along with Jay...(The 'LFKs') & and their many guest hosts...
    This team have somehow ignited the passion for our local football (inspired new local match attendees) and hope something on the pipeline for them in terms of local football coverage... Honestly, if i had the means (💰) , i would have done something to elevate this series. Just have to do with hoping that something is done for the continuum of this team... It will be really a shame if the M-league ends up hiring this team instead... any for any doubters, why not - they are a global award winning team...
    All be it, keep up with your good work LFKs. And a big thank you for the many awesome episodes. I am definitely one person who tunes in at least two hours per week on local football podcasts, and that time is certain dominated by your coverage. PS: Thank you also for putting up with my long essays. 😀😀😀

    On Safety for the girls football, I agree with the panel too, there’s basketball and water polo, floorball and hockey that are all full contact sports, for example there’s body check and I have seen floorballers flying over the perimeter boards. BUT another thing is still plain old DEMAND & SUPPLY. One parent’s daughter might be interested but is that the minority or majority. You need 11 main squad and reserves. Is the demand even there for schools to take resources out of other CCAs to just provide that option for a few?
    By the way Neil, there are lots of principals who are female, so may not be man deciding whether girls can form football team or not. When I was in secondary school, I had two successive female principals, NO football CCA for either boys or girls. The field was not to be touched majority of the time😂

      that last sentence. my school was like that too and we even pass off sarcastic remarks to our teachers/principals when we pass them that the field in our school is only used for fire evacuation drills hah

    I think interest is a main issue. Im a Sec2 student and i remember during primary school recess i would see very few girls at the school field, and those who were there were doing gymnastics and other stuff and literally no girl played football. Maybe its more of an interest than safety?

    Singapore should learn from the US of how they embrace soccer ⚽/football and made it their top sport for girls and women by development, education, training system, public and private financial support and advertising among other things!!!! And they end up being the top country in women football/soccer since the 20th century!!!!

    Singapore's team sports are way behind all our neighbors because the standards have dropped badly because of no care to make Singapore have international class sportsmen and sportswomen here!!!!

    • @hiroyukishinichi9873
      @hiroyukishinichi9873 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not quite exactly, we still have a lot of other sports that we are excelling at and out competing our neighbours, sailing, fencing, table tennis, floorball and others. It is just football we are now laggards....

    • @judedecruz53
      @judedecruz53 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, i know but people are focus on the team sports like football, hockey, basketball that we are not really doing well!!!! So the talk here is about the big sports that earn the big bucks worldwide that we are struggling with and how to improve it!!!! The other sports we are doing well and excelling, not in the discussion here!!! We know those sports will do better and excell more, so let's keep the discussion that our podcasters are discussing and focus on the most!!!

      Doesn't the size of your country factor into it? It's the size of 1 city essentially so it must be hard to get talent compared to a much larger country like China.
