SO GOOD to see you out and about. I lived in a camper for 16 months whilst building a house for my then soon-to-be ex-wife and her new husband. Yes, it's all about space. Well then, on to your NEW washing machine. In the Army (Marines, too), the tankers (people who operated the armored tanks), always had the cleanest clothes in the field. Here's how they did it. They strapped a 55-gallon steel drum to the back of the tank in the wake of the engine exhaust. This provided the heat for the water. Put in your clothes, add water and detergent, and then go on maneuvers the rest of the day. All that bouncing about and hot water will do the trick. When you can, drain the drum (a plug or valve located at the bottom is recommended) and fill with clean water. Some more driving around. A couple of rinses and you've got clean duds. So, find an appropriate size, waterproof container with a lid and preferably a drain plug, fasten it to the rear bumper, and you are set. Maybe you could opt for a flat-ish, plastic something that could fit on top or in a small space. If you wash everyday, you won't have big loads or need a lot of soap and water. Would love to know if you try this. Don't forget to take pictures of the normal, everyday things, like brushing your teeth, fueling the vehicle, and the restrooms on the road. It's the common sites that you'll remember most. Take it from me, way down the road, figuratively and poetically, the hardships will be some of the best stories and biggest laughs. I could not manage without the space either, that and a decent kitchen worktop, thick mattress, massive TV,.......... I want a MH and drive off into the sunset though. Thanks for the vid.
Great vid guys, Thank you. A solution to no mains electric could be a small petrol generator which you could plug in when parked up off site. It won't irritate others around you and could be easily stored in the garage. I have a small camper van which i go away in mainly off grid. I take a 1000w petrol generator which i lock to the tow hitch to top up the battery and power lights and things. It's very economical and will run for about 6 hours on a 3ltr tank of petrol.....just a thought. All the best! Andy.

Living in a home its easy to put off repairs and chores. You take for granted electric, water etc. When in reality it is a luxury. It's not cheap living in a motorhome. I salute your tonatiousness. (spell check can't find the word I want) I'm such a bad speller.

Hey Dan you forgot to mention one thing about the toilet. having a toilet That you don’t have the empty constantly in to waste bins . Might be time to think about getting off the road in Settling down if you know what I mean House and a white picket fence
When we lived in our motor home I went to a local launderette every 2 weeks (where ever we were ) never cost me more than £12. Also we always had 240 volts as we used the generator (where ever we were) chained it to the steadies..
HINT: To take a proper Bath, get in the tub 1/4 filled & adjust your personal water temperature you like. Some people like it Hot while some like it Cold. 🤔🤔🥰

I think we all might want to lend Dan and Mazy a helping hand and let them park in your driveway, let them use some electricity, and for the love of God Let Mazy have a right and proper BATH !
If you use a glass and just fill it up a bit before you brush your teeth it works way better. You dip your toothbrush in the cup of water brush your teeth, spit, sip some water, rinse your toothbrush in the leftover water. That way you only use a small amount of water each time you brush your teeth.
hello been watching you two for a couple of months love your videos. you have been mentioning about not having money for campsites. have you thought about spending time on rallys. there are all sorts all over the country. we go to vintage steam rallys. you only need something old like a push bike or a old pram to stay for the weekend. and you camp for free .look at something called old glory they give dates on there it will save you money and you can go explore the area on public transport. for an example there is one at llandudno that is right on the edge of the town. you might have to book early but you can go all over if you plan it correct. hope you dont mind me giving you this sort of information from caroline cartwright

Everything really must go back into it's rightful place, or we're tearing the place up searching for it. We have to be so mindful of not buying too much at a time (sometimes it's like a game of Tetris when putting groceries away). You should invest in a large Inverter fitted properly that feeds the sockets in the van, look up Urban motorhome, he has done it!
