I can still remember where I was in that auditorium. One of the most impactful tags ever. My second International as a quartet competitor but finished quite a few places behind these guys. :)
I can certainly see why! Idk much about music theory or barber shop (got here via a p cool animated series elsewhere on youtube called No Evil which uses this tag whenever one of the character uses a magic item) but is the F# the "cry" at 2:44?
That F#4 is the highest note I’ve ever heard come from a bass. If I was to teach this tag in it’s original key, I’ll be very comfortable doing the bass here (as a barbershop tenor I’d usually struggle when notes go deep in their boots)
I'm glad I looked this video up... Did so because someone mentioned that high note in the comments to Crossroads' live "Lucky Old Sun" wherein Jim Henry hits that note. That's an incredible performance, but so is this!
This tag has a nice song.
Underrated comment
Hah
I was there!!! The audience literally gasped when they hit that F# unison in the tag. Electric...

@@fiveminutefridays Yes it is!
The impact that the performance of this chart is absolutely legendary
When you use the funny looking fork you found in the desert to unclog the toilet but the water starts rising instead:
2:45

Can you imagine? Being there for that? They drill an F# into your soul, cleansing it of evil? Can you imagine being there?
I'VE WAITED SEVEN YEARS FOR THIS AHHHHHHHHHH
That's the group that has the guy that looks like Yoda!
Man, ringing like crazy! The Force was definitely strong with Yoda. :P
I loved Brian as a lead. Powerful and resolute. Pocket rocket.
What a bass! Holy cow.
I LITERALLY CRIED DURING THE TAG
I'm sorry
*_i made you cry._*

The lead
bro everyone knows this tag lol
I just wish that people would sing it in the intended key signature because they're actually ruining it by purposely dropping the octave.
