The soundtrack for this game is top tier. The game is very punishing and unforgiving as well and doesn't hold your hand. I remember heading left as soon as I left the vault and stumbling across a super mutant patrol. 1 mutant let his minigun rip and I was critically hit for over 500 points or so. I had to sit and watch my character die and have his health drained to -500 health before the game even let me restart. The demoralizing feeling that swept across me was the first time I had felt that in a game and the cutscene of the bones and Ron Pearlmans "Your life ends in the wasteland" was somehting I heard a LOT.
A fallout 1 video with good commentary that isn't an annoying let's play. Such a thing is as rare as a poopoo you do and you don't need to wipe because it's clean enough to eat your dinner off. Fallout 2!
If i remember correctly, Killian will tell you about Necropolis if you ask him about the surrounding areas. That way you don’t have to waste time trying to find it yourself. I also learned the hard way, to do the military base yourself, if not whoever you brought with you will just die - if not by the super mutants but by them DAMN ENERGY FIELDS!!!
This was an awesome retrospective of Fallout 1. I recently downloaded the older fallouts and found this video incredibly helpful as a tutorial/guide. I missed out on so much in my first play through that I wouldn’t have known about if not for the most digestible 1 hour fallout video I’ve ever seen.
This was a really pleasant surprise. I watched a lot of your Elden Ring runs with deep satisfaction, but then you put out something completely different and it's just as equally enjoyable. I'm excited to see where your channel goes!!!
This is the internet, so I'm sure there are some dingos who will be mad you are not doing Souls videos. But these are incredible man, keep doing what you want and think is better for your channel. Amazing work
FO1 is one of the smaller RPGs in scale and content - and that makes it good compared to bigger titles. No tutorial like FO2 (FO3?), no pop-ups spam like FO NV - you're free to go from the start. Somehow beat it without manual, which was unheard of back then. BTW Fallout Tactics is cool in real-time mode, TB combat is a slog. If anyone want to try it (or bounced off due to TB mode) give it a try...
Really like how you do videos, describing everything you do/that happens makes it like a video I can listen to while doing other stuff and still be able to follow along :D and blind people probably like these videos
Great vid as always! Love seeing Fallout 1 get love! If you’re a fan of more classic Fallout gameplay but with a great modern feel I’d recommend you try Wasteland 2 or Wasteland 3. They’re fantastic games with brilliantly written characters and tonnes of heavy and thoughtful decisions and outcomes, great build variety across your squad, fun combat and an outstanding soundtrack. Truly think you’d enjoy them if you’re into Fallout. 👍
As a Fallout vet from the old days I always go with high AG and IN. The gifted perk. Usually tag speech and a weapon skill. Speech so I can pump it up quick at the start and often energy weapons so I can pump that up quick later when they become viable. Outside of that I'll mix things up a bit. Sometimes I'll tag small guns or melee for early game if the build would have a hard time in combat otherwise. Once you've beat the games hundreds of times I find this a pretty good foundation to experience pretty much everything the game has to offer in a playthrough, unless you want to do a dumb build.
I have ti subscribe cause the dry sense of humor is so hilarious 🤣🤣 the part when the homeless guy saved your life and when you missed the mama deathclaw and vaporized her cub had me dying 💀🤣🤣🤣

I understand not wanting to play fallout 2 honestly just because the intro of the game is unbearably annoying to get through and if you forget to save right after clearing it and die.....it's just gut wrenching to have to do it again.
