The C50 is my current bike but I think it's time for me to hang up riding for a while. Way too many close calls between the retirees who can't drive at night and idiot teens who can't drive period. After pulling into a gas station parking lot at nearly 50 kph due to an idiot pulling into the road as I was passing the station caused me to lay the bike down on loose gravel at the station. Of course the other driver continued on like they saw nothing. Had I not evaded by pulling into the station, my only other options were to broadside the car pulling out or take my chances with traffic in the oncoming lane. Only abrasions on my palms, shoulder and knees and a hell of a bruise on my left shin (pinned between the engine and the asphalt) this time... next time I may not be so lucky. Amazingly the bike held up quite well. The floorboard had to be forced back into place and the Boulevard badge on the tank has some scratches and the bezel on the rear signal is trashed. Riding is a dream, where it's safe. It's no longer safe here.
Oh man! I’m so sorry to hear that.. too many close calls as well: but you’re definitely right about the drivers! I’m glad you’re ok and I totally understand why you wouldn’t want to take a break. I hope you get better soon.
Hey bro i just bought one from USA to here in DRC africa, its on the way home, just a question is it carburator or fuel injection? I'm bit lost there. Thanks
Have you also done a transmission mod, or is your speedo reading really fast. I know my '08 C50T reads about 5MPH fast. But my revs sound much higher at 50-60MPH.
No I have not, but I’ll pay attention to that later on today. I did notice that I can go all the way to 100mph in 4th gear without hitting rev limiter!
Nice bike man. Just got one about a year ago. Is that an auxiliary light in front? How do you like it? Was it for looks or does it help with brightness? I think I have the same color. Mine is an 06.
Thank you! Nice , I love this bike even though is my first one. Yes they are, they help so much with brightness especially at night, you can leave them a little loose so you can adjust them or just loosen them up and adjust it but def helps! & nice , mines an 07 i don’t know if I mentioned it
