That high tenor always gave it his all. I couldn't hear the bass man as well as on the original, but for a n acapella live, this was still remarkable!

Saw them open live for Al Jarraeu in an outdoor open theater in Nashville, Tn. back then. Awesome to see them live. Love that tight harmony! I remember it came a horrible electrical storm and Take 6 and Al Jarreau just kept on going and never stopped. It was a wonderful concert!! "Mary Don't You Weep" is my personal favorite.

This is a blessing to most transcribers.
The inner parts (Mervyn, David and Cedric) are the hardest to 'hear' so having them turned up in the mix allows for greater accuracy when transcribing.... and also imo, takes nothing away from the audio enjoyment.
Merv, David and Cedric are often turned down in the mix...
This is one of my favourite performances of this song.
