The fact that it'll be a musical is sort of a turn off for me. But I'll still probably watch it on-demand someday for free,if they ever have it available. Would've been great if they picked an actual Italian actors to portray Mario. But I guess a Norwegian one works just as well. It's kinda the same situation when they casted Noah Ringer to play Aang. Right along with casting Justin Chatwin to play Goku. Honestly I could careless when it comes to the the ethnicity of the actor. As long as they give me a good performance the person could be rainbow. I don't care just spill your all into the character that your playing and I'm sold. Your skin color is the least of my concerns. However it just sort of reminds me of the days,in which people actually glorified the "art" of black face. Having characters whitewashed in order to please whoever's in control of the project,kinda puts me in a mind of those days. Only they changed it into portraying other ethnicities.
