    It's interesting tactics employed regarding Mandelson.
    Labour keeps reminding Hartlepool that Mandelson was the former MP and the Tories keep reminding Hartlepool that Mandelson was their MP.

    I’m from the north and I was in the Labour Party and we had a by election and I was at the meeting where they parachuted in some posh bloke from down south who didn’t win, and I remember thinking that this policy of parachuting posh people who don’t have the same values as the people they are trying to represent was a big mistake for Labour to make

    No mention of Peter Mandelson, the last New Labour Mandarin to lord it over Hartlepool and a current adviser to Starmer. No mention of the fact that Mandelson's involvements with the Eurocracy after the Hinduja Passport Affair and related scandals pushed the constituency further and further towards Brexit.

  • @Irishtradchannel
    @Irishtradchannel 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    It's not Starmer,or just Starmer.
    Trying to convince people that Labour doesn't despise working class areas, isn't full of arrogant snobs, who only ever ask for votes, lecture, preach and condemn but refuse to listen or engage, that's a big ask.
    Labour is probably done for.

    Great move Labour: Fly in a remainer to a leave-heavy constituency?! That's muppetry on a par with everything else you've done since 'Sir Kier' took the reins though isn't it? Labour would've been MUCH better off with a new Kier Hardie instead of Sir Starmer. But regardless, best wishes for tomorrow from me, one of the MANY former 'Labour Lifers' whose vote will be going elsewhere tomorrow...

    I’m the only socialist candidate running Thelma said - 250 votes obtained. There we have the reason why socialist MPs have to stay in the Labour Party, they know full well they have to stay in the party to have any chance of getting elected. I wish socialists on social media who have left Labour would stop slagging off those who have stayed in the party. Without those socialist MPs, the whole idea of socialism would go down the pan, as socialists are completely reliant on the Labour Party to get elected representatives. If socialists want to get elected without the Labour Party, they need a different voting system, which only Labour has any chance of delivering... either way they absolutely need to stay on side with Labour, so all this posturing has made little sense to me from an electoral perspective.
