I'm still waiting on the hardware shop tour video, we saw the workshop now its tome to see the whole business shop. Thanks for all the entertaining videos Dean, this is my favorite TH-cam channel.
Those are great tools I agree. There are also most (over 95% iirc) built here in Germany. 🇩🇪 We have a few old machines were I work and some of them are from the 90s and you still get parts for them. Even the housing… great stuff right there :)
Hi Dean, I do a lot of Milwaukee tools for my work. We cannot bear to just throw them away. This helps save waste and energy used to build them. Barely cost effective I know but I just cannot stand this throw away society we live in. So I do the best I can.
I've been looking forward to this!!! Thanks for both the entertainment and education. And thanks for posting something as unique as a Fein 5mm nibbler. A question if you will indulge me. On the armature, the impeller (is that the right word?) blades for the air intake to cool the motor are straight. Why are they not curved which I imagine would yield more air. I thought they were only straight if there was forward and reverse, concepts which this tool doesn't appear to require.
I must agree longer videos I prefer and don't really like the part 1 and part 2 I prefer to see the machine being looked at and if parts needs to be ordered well and good but as always Dean great work
This was a one off, only made ir 2 part because I messed up and filmed the 2 half's in 2 different formats. I will not be making a habit of making 2 part videos. All in one videos, either a group of tools or a single repair. Plus the odd review or feature videos.
Can't kill my first Fein, just like my first Metabo/Walters. I've put current Fein and Metabo to bed. Both aren't like they were a few decades ago. They haven't sunken as low as Milwaukee though.
When it comes to replacing bearings in all the power tools is it important to go with the originals based on a part number? Or can i just use the ones that match the dimentions?
This machine starts at 2500€. Incredibly expensive but the main reason for that seems to be that is can punch trough 5mm sheet metal that seems to be a rarity.
Dont you check the field too just in case before ordering new parts? Just imagine changing the rotor and then the field dies in the next month. Had this ever happened to you?

All the best for 2024 Dean, personally speaking I like the long compilation videos of tools getting repaired.
Fein makes some nice tools. We don't see them a lot here in the states but they are becoming more common. I have used them for years

Tell people to think twice before buying red ryobi, I personally don't have anything with that brand on it.
That is a £4000 tool. Wow. Didn't even know there were tools that expensive!
Great videos Dean . Happy new year to you and your family
Great to see it working again.
Aswesome to see Fien back to live! Only wonder how did happend that original rotor broke so badly.
I've been looking forward to this!!!

Happy New Year Dean. All the best and less Milwaukee tools in the workshop in 2024.
Happy New year

Awesomeness

No you don't have to use the same bearings. Go by the bearing number or dimensions and get any good brand bearing.
Didn’t the broken locator pin need to be replaced in the head?
Happy Nre Year !!! Dean
😮😮 that thing when through that metal sheet like a hot knife through butter
Could you do a video on testing switches and windings. Thank you sir
Where do you find a lot of not working elektric machines
Brilliant and just to be nosy did you as a kid get into trouble for taking things apart and wrecking them 😜
👍👍

Nibbler was the dog from panucci pizza no?
The FEIN looks like a vegetable soup

He did check the field in the first video
Those vibrations look wrong.
Your just a machine fixing bad ass
I’ve never used the Fein nibbler before, but is it supposed to vibrate that much?
What does a nibbler do? Okay now I know
