Someone said that to me and my mom! That we looked like sisters anyway great for my mom, not so for me! You want to hear something funnier. My dad passed away in 2001, 3 years later my mother remarried. My stepfather was well let's just say he looked younger than he really was. He was blessed with NO wrinkles. So one day they went to to look for a new cellphone as the one my mom had was kindly referred to as a brick! They walked through the door and the guy says " Hello, is this your son?" To my mother!!!!!!! I can still hear mom yelling No he's not my son! Then Mel chuckling. Needless to say my mom did a 180 and walked out of that store! RIP mom I miss you, but to this day you keep cracking me up! 🤣 Can't wait to see ya in heaven
I’m so happy your mom joined you in this baking video! She is so precious! Cherish these times. Seeing this made me think of my mom. She passed away 3 years ago a few weeks after Christmas. I miss her everyday.

What a treat to spend this time with your momma. These are one of my favorite cookies and they’re so easy and so pretty. I don’t fix Christmas dinner anymore. For the last 4-5 years we’ve done brunch. Homemade biscuits, sausage gravy, sausage,bacon, hash brown casserole, cinnamon roll breakfast casserole, orange juice and homemade made tomato preserves. When I retire from 70 hours a week I’ll probably go back to a regular Christmas dinner. Just not enough hours in the day. Bless you and your beautiful family… Merry Christmas 🎄 ❤❤❤I always rolled mine twice. Roll, let them set for 5 minutes then roll in the powdered sugar again.

These cookies were the best my mom, granny, and I made these when I was a young girl it took me back home and now I have the recipe thanks 2 u and your mom who looks just like my granny miss them both makes this recipe even more special.

I have made Southern Pecan pralines for 35 years and even donate them at bake sales for our church. My recipe makes 24 each recipe and I have made as high as 40 batches in the two weeks before Christmas. It uses buttermilk in the true southern tradition. Your mom is a sweetheart, and her recipe for pecan balls is a winner!

For Christmas and Thanksgiving my wife has her recipe for Baked Sweet Potatoes with Tequila and Lime.
6 to 8 sweet potatoes
1/2 cup brown sugar
6 to 8 limes/squeeze
1/2 cup lime juice
1/3 cup tequila
Peel and shred (like hash browns) sweet potatoes.
Melt butter, add butter and sweet potatoes in baking dish.
Bake in 425 degree oven 60 minutes.
Add lime juice and trquila and bake 15 more minutes.
Garnish with cilantro lining dish and lime slices on top.
