    I always line it up then eye ball it and use a 6022 to fine trim it

      Yeah that works awesome if you’re decking with a stinger... in Portland we use pin guns and a deck saw

    You're very cool individual stay safe my brother and disregard any derogatory comments that may have made deck saws LOL you only like 10 years behind the curve

    Drop starting saws mainly chain saws is dangerous cause it could slip out of your hand possibly lashing back at you. If you are having trouble cold starting any two cycles it is best to keep it level as possible to allow even mixture flow in the carburetor.

    • @ChantzFabz
      @ChantzFabz  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These saws on a drop start don’t have the blades spinning extremely fast with torque you could stop it with your leg with pants on and not get cut off a start

    • @2009dudeman
      @2009dudeman 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should also be starting chainsaws with the clutch brake engaged, which prevents any rotation of the blade during startup and idle. Every saw manual I have ever seen says to do this. They do also say to start them on the ground or with the handle pinched between your thighs, but if the clutch brake is on and you have a firm grip it wont slip out of your hand for a drop start.
      In a perfect world the saws would be properly stored and maintained, given regular maintenance and never abused. But thats a hope and a dream on any professional site i've worked and if they can be drop started, they will not spend time fixing or replacing them.

    If I have to notch where there's is a low, I just flip the deck upside-down and cut it. Then you dont have to worry about the blade cutting past your mark. Always notching deck for stair landings

      @ChantzFabz  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Flipping the sheet is lame when it’s a 40’ sheet! Sure on a tiny little piece of scrap it’s easy like in the video but I should of said this is for production decking... not patch work

      @@ChantzFabz you got that right! One of the reasons why I got sick of hanging steel was dragging deck. I love stairs; a lot easier

    3 minutes and 30 seconds LMFAO once upon a time they invented this thing called a compression release LMFAO if that doesn't work I just break out my pocket laser and Burn Right Through It I don't know if you heard but it's 2021 you can make Cuts like that all day with a handheld battery-operated cut off wheel we were doing this s*** 20 years ago was an 8 inch 110 volt grinder and a 10 inch demo saw add extra for this type of lightwork is Antiquated antique you're only about 15 years behind the curve brother but that's okay exclamation! I've only been doing this second generation or 25 years but what I see you doing and I've been there had to done that you're taking the largest saw that they make and I've used the biggest that they make to cut down a curtain rod

    drop starts are definitely easier and of course cooler looking, but usually against the manufacturers instructions which means if the site safety nazi sees it or god forbid if OSHA is on site your in deep doodoo
