    Well done, as usual, Dennis!

Very good! I have a kalex 61 I need to clean and lubricate. Its served me well for 6 years salmon fishing, many fish caught with it (no trolling) it holds a "buttload" of 20# power pro braid (hi-viz blue) last season it started getting stiff. I appreciate this video as it gives me an idea of what I'm getting into.

The good ABUs have 2 flat side plates with both spool float caps and free floating spool I like better than the dome side plates for even line lay I super tuned a few with Boca abex 7 ceramic bears dual bearing worm gear with a ceramic pawl and a dual bearing cog wheel that greatly improved casting distance and smooth over the original C3 6500 CL big game.

Good to know. Thanks for the additional information. As noted, one of the best upgrades to the Ambassadeur line is to remove the bushings and replace with bearings on those using the bushing alternative. Also, when it is time to replace the bearings, then the ceramics will help improve the casting distance. Thanks - Dennis

Are you using that reel in the saltwater? Heard ceramic bearings for saltwater is a bad thing but I know people run them.

I’m with you on this one Dennis. Thanks for your honest opinion and heads up. 👍

Dennis these reels are fine so long as you
dont use for fishing and dont get them near
water. Mine sit in a closet and work fine.
In truth though these are the pinnacle of
the Pure Fishing junk. I thought chinese
Penns were bad. These are on a whole new
    level.

Yes they are. I would be embarrassed to put the Ambassadeur on name on this one!

I imagine sand wreaks havoc on all that plastic, I have a Chinese Abu, I got in a lot, I haven't bothered to even look at it. It isn't worth the parts to fix it

There are several good ones made in China. This isn't one of them - Thanks - Dennis

I have some Chinese made Abu spinning reels that are first class. Can’t blame China for junk because they just build it the way the company wants it.

Very well said! It doesn't matter whose hands are putting the reel together, it does matter what components and designs they are using - Thanks - Dennis

    That's a Chinese ABU

That's the Chinese bad copy, that's why it sucks so bad. It's got ABU only in the name.

It is a bad reel that does nothing well

@@2ndChanceTackle Again. ABU written on it, not ABU inside! China won some economic shite and that's why they can use the name freely to make their own bad copies.
