I got an email about mine from Mohela , I'm on the save plan, and the letter said I won't pay any interest from next month going 😊. I hope the 20,000 interest reduction goes through 😂😂😂

So it's not maxed at $20k? He better get it done before election.

He wants to modify you student loan to get rid of loan interest. Not cancelled - you need to use the legal terms.

I just want the payment count to happen all the other loan forgiveness suggestions will not hold up especially since there’s an active lawsuit happening at this time. I’m just going to pay what I owe and be done with false hopes. I just watched a documentary about a VA resident that had an original balance of 5,000 in the 1980s from a community college receiving predatory student loan payment information and a ballooned total of over 35,000. She’s in her 70s now and can’t work, she went to university after the community college but has been in repayment well over 25 years. So I think if anything anyone with 20 or 25 years should be automatically forgiven and I don’t see that happening unless you are PSLF.

I saw that news clip as well, she left the workforce to take care of her ill mother and now her grandchildren. We finally paid my student loans off last year after the SCOTUS rejection but I’m still in support of cancellation. I just don’t see it happening.

Crazy, isn't it? How upside down everything seems. We can easily find a hundred billion to send to the Ukraine but we can't forgive student loans which would probably catapult the American economy in such a positive direction. Crazy, isn't it?

I just want cheaper monthly payments. Broad forgiveness isn’t fair for a lot of people. Even those with loans … Why should I pay every month and those who make less money pay nothing at all? IDR is income based. Make those that make 30K or less pay the same amount. Not , nothing …

Maybe…but at least Biden is actually helping regular Americans instead of corporations like Republicans tend to do

@@ELBarbarro Absolutely! I don't see any of this happening during a Republican term. For the record, I see both sides as crooked, doesn't matter if there's an R or a D in front of their name. A politicians priority is winning elections, not helping you or me.

I attended Argosy University. I thought that I could not apply for borrowers defense since I don't qualify for loan forgiveness I left the school in 2014 due to financial hardships. So I didn't realize that borrowers defense would use different parameters for dismissing my loans. I didn't apply before the 2022 deadline so I don't actually count in the sweet vs cardona case but if I knew I could and had done it during that time I'd have been approved. So now I just need some answers whether it's still possible for me. I didn't get my degree although I had less than a year to finish. No schools will take me this close to the end of my program. No jobs will consider me both because I don't have the degree and because of the reputation of the school. If I knew that the ceo of the company owning edmc and argosy was already involved with the university of Phoenix fiasco I would not have enrolled in the first place.

It's not so much loan forgiveness that bothers me as much as the entire system needs to be overhauled. To call the student loan system "Predatory" would be offensive to predators, It is literally an evil joke.
