Paddy StrongJaw Because it would imply that there's only one John Barrowman whilst leaving it down to the audience to decide if that's a good or a bad thing.
Completely disagree, I would say this is pretty accurate for Torchwood, especially Season 1 and parts of Season 2. Plus this is coming from someone who loves the show. The slow motion walking along with them not really being that much of a secret organisation is very accurate to the real show. Plus I also loved the kiss and teleportation to the roof! It’s so fucking accurate!😂
Tis the Russell T Davis way; if you’re going to go ridiculous, go all out! He’s...an odd writer to say the least, when he goes serious with the writing he actually makes some pretty incredible stuff, but when he goes odd you end up with farting aliens, aliens that survive by making men orgasm themselves into disintegration, main characters standing on random rooftops...that kinda stuff.
I love Torchwood too, You can't not laugh at this, *Swishy Walk*. I wondered myself why Jack keeps standing on the edge of tall buildings for absolutly no reason.
@@baders087 Um I don’t know really, it had some good moments and an interesting concept but was a bit messy and all over the place. It’s too different to really compare to season 1 and 2 but I’d see it as quite a bit weaker than season 3 but still okay
@erosion271 I dunno I think for the most part it’s pretty realistic I think the decisions made by the politicians is brutally realistic - the only really stupid things I can think of is that the government made the tank for the 456 to stay in for some reason and the secret service woman who was shocked at what the government was doing but should’ve known what was going on and was shown to have no trouble harming kids before
@@Tom-xt1jnI'm not arguing the brutal realism. Because you're right they're clinical and cold about it. But criticising them as the series does when russell wrote a no win backed into a corner scenario is cynical hypocrisy to me. I do really like COE btw. Just don't think its a masterpiece. You know aliens are coming but decide to kill the experts? That is ridiculous not realistic
@@Sh23-hv7sn Okay yeah fair point I guess - they could’ve maybe done more to build up distrust between the government and Torchwood + give them more reason to really really not want what happened 30 years ago to come out increasing the motivation to kill Jack I do think it’s kinda justified in wanting the previous event gone and Jack’s the last piece standing in knowing but yeah I guess it kinda is a bit out of nowhere
+RejoiceGames John Barrowman has lived in the United States since he was 8 years old, and holds both British and American Citizenship. He is both British and American. He has both a natural Scottish and American accent as he is bidilectal. The real Captain Jack's accent is not fake.

This is hilarious! It would be even better if they actually got John Barrowman and the rest of the Torchwood cast to come face to face with the Dead Ringers!!
hahaha! i watched all of series 1 last night after seeingthis and came back to see it again! XD i love how it makes me laugh from the second i see them! haha!! that walk is pricless!!
We're on the top of this building for no reason, this is torchwood. oh yes, indeed. I always have to count the number of times they randomly appear on the top of buildings.
Accurate but there is one episode in season 2 that does go into their motivations; not that they’re good or well-developed, but they’re there 😂 I think the best was Toshiko’s, and even that was pretty outlandish. Jack’s waiting for the Doctor and avoiding a depression spiral/boredom from his immortality, Owen’s ex-fiancé’s brutal death and his subsequent mental breakdown led him to also avoid a depression and boredom spiral, Ianto is there for tail/romance (first Lisa then Jack). Gwen’s is the most vague, so her motivation being she’s Welsh is as good as any 😂
The sad thing is, Jack doesn't actually mince because he's not what people call a stereotypical gay man! But I love this, love John Barrowman and love TW!
Absolutely adore this vid ! Love the tags, esp Owen's "Annoying" cuz God knows he is. Love Torchwood but they make a good point. And I totally love the way they do it.
Oh, I'd love to see Jack back on DW - especially since Torchwood seems pretty dead in the water after the awful fourth series. I miss having Jack on DW and it would be great if he came back, but who knows when it would be. Hopefully the 50th anniversary.
@@mikeharvey2129 *SPOILERS AHEAD!* I just rewached the whole of Torchwood and S4 to me is pretty obnoxious... It's pretty obvious it's been co-developped by Americans what with the introduction of over the top action like that whirlybird that subsequently gets bazooka'd out of the air by Cooper who randomly found this thing in the trunk of a jeep, and doing a backflip over the team before crashing onto the beach. The whole story arc would've also easily fit in half the amount of epsisodes. And the whole story to begin with where jack is now mortal but the world is not makes no sense to begin with if you watch Doctor Who and thusly know why Jack keeps coming back after death. Rex getting that same "power" in the end just adds a bunch of salt to that. I mean, there are worse things in life. It was a bit of a cliche at the time, most likely thought up by a director that doesn't quite understand subtlety.
Don’t all action heroes do that?
Cruel but very accurate.
