The tank cover can I install it over the factory tank I can’t find a set to match my oem fairings so I gotta order a complete set with tank cover so the hole bike will match
So the metal fuel tank is actually under the plastic fairing that covers the tank on the OEM setup. The nice thing about these CBR's is that you can remove that tank fairing and swap it out with an entirely new fairing set without having to repaint the tank. It's literally just a cover.
@@blueridgekicks3962 The f4i has a painted metal tank and different fairing style all around compared to the 600rr's so unfortunately the fairing kits are not compatible. Thanks for watching!
Hey bud GREAT VIDEO! I have the same exact bike with the same exact fairing Kit ! I agree the paint is really nice for what they are. I have put the whole thing together but the most issues I had were the side fairings and connecting them to the front headlight cowl. And funny enough I actually went thru the plastic when installing the little black vents on the back fairing. I clicked on you’re video because I wanted to see how u did the side fairings. Also the lights are pretty hard installing inside the front cowl.
Thanks! I’m happy to hear a similar review from the same kit! I’ll definitely use NT Fairings again for future builds. You’re right about the front fairing being difficult tho! You’ll see my struggles in the next upload haha thanks for watching!
Feel like I'm gonna brake my rear plastic trying to put it on. Would've helped it you showed the tricks to fitting it on instead of zooming through it.
Thank you for the feedback. I see how that could have been helpful. I do have another video series where I detail the removal process from another Honda and the installation is essentially the reverse. Check out this other video and skip to about 8:20. Hope that helps! th-cam.com/video/WinIOdR3CnE/w-d-xo.html
Nice work! You mentioned that these aftermarket fairings are a really good value vs other options....but I looked up that Amazon listed you linked and the set is over $500! How much would it cost to just paint the old fairings?
Thanks for the feedback! At the time of purchase, this fairing set was selling for $439.99, so it was an ideal price for an entire fairing set. This bike did not come with a complete OEM fairing set so I would have had to source the missing parts in addition to paint/decals. A low budget paint job will run approximately $500, and on some bikes with candy paint I’ve spent as much as $400 for painting the tank only! You get what you pay for in the paint world! Thanks for watching!
