Amazing video for a lure I’ve caught tons of fish on really well done great tips especially the last one makes it seem a lot more realistic for fish on the pursuit!
Thanks for watching! I fish ploppers all day long but if you are looking to get the best bang for your buck, I would fish low light conditions like early morning, late afternoon or overcast days. If you want to find fish during hot sunny days look for shade.
@@jamesmadison6650 thanks! I’m hoping to do a lot more informational content over the winter. Have fun chasing smallies in TN - beautiful state and fisheries.
A lot of the waters I fish have big toothy predators so I run a heavier setup than most. Typically, I run 40lb braid with a 50lb/18" fluorocarbon leader. I often use swivel snaps and a taru barrel swivel connecting my braid and fluorocarbon leader. Thanks for watching!
My choppo tip seems best when fished from the bank but I'll start out with a fast retrieve but very gradually slow my retrieve down, this seems to provoke a following fish into biting right at the bank
Good call out- I think you are definitely on to something! I didn’t mention it in the video because I wasn’t specifically talking about choppos but I really like how loud the choppos can be even at a super slow retrieve. Thanks for watching!
Love the direction change tip
I think there should be a part 2!!!!🔥
😂 I can’t share all of the secrets but we’ll see

Thanks for the tips, I just landed my first topwater w the

That’s awesome 👏
Awesome tips, thanks for this video! Btw what time of day do you recommend for ploppers?

@@sotayakfishing cool, thx!
I base my technique with a prop bait off of conditions, time of day, and water clarity plus some other variables.
