From what I have seen from drone tech, specifically fpv- I would be forced to assume the face of war has changed completely. Totally. I need a defensive swarm I can call to protect me, or carry me away. If I need it :)

Even if a drone was completely destroyed in the process then it could still be seen as a cheap method of assassination with no Risks to the operator.

there people print fake money to fund their wars in the first place, its crazy that Babylonians still believe in the golden calf that these war technologies are going to "bring them prosperity through protection" that is a poisoned Poseidon and its a lie that will cost the future dearly. They do not have to worry about a trip back, they are used to wasting payloads in random artillery borages do don't think there isn't enough boom boom to go around just cause they switch to drones their accuracy will make it easy to kill the most people with the least random boom boom barrages. LIke a Green Parties version of "Green clean sustainable warfare" right cause nukes destroy life drones get the bad guys! Yeah for the Golden Calf and mutually assured destruction of Babylon!!!!!

7 The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. 8 Their hair was like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. 9 They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. 10 They had tails with stingers, like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months. 11 They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon (that is, Destroyer).

  • @bret9741

I have to admit. I’ve served in a military and I’ve studied military tech and tactics all of my life Nuclear weapons have always concerned me but I’ve always been more concerned about an accidental launch or a terrorist gaining control over these weapons than seeing them used in a formal war.
That being said… artificial intelligence combined with unmanned low cost lethal systems really concerns me. I guarantee some Islamic Terror group, some domestic individual who has bought off on lies and falsehoods, etc., has purchased a bunch of drones and is practicing with them to do massive harm to individuals, groups of people, infrastructure and as always airliners will be targeted. Affordable off the shelf drones are already powerful enough to carry serious amounts of explosives. Two small drones with trained pilots could easily knock out aircraft during takeoff and landing, it is just a matter of time before artificial intelligence will be able to take over the flying and ensure a hit.
Think about the millions of illegal immigrants pouring into the US, many thousands with known ties to drug cartels who are know to be assisting Islamic terrorist groups! All it would take is a few hundred of these individuals coordinating unmanned drones to knock out power plants, oil refineries, gas and fuel storage, and as worrying, it would be within the realm of possibility for terrorists to hit flight lines and both civilian and military leaders.
If the population of the US was like the population up until 1960, it would be almost impossible, there would be no illegals and people of all races, especially black, Japanese and Hispanic descents loved this nation seeing it as the the best and brightest hope for a better future for kids and grandkids! That’s no longer the case and hasn’t been since Bill, Hillary and all their friend were at their Ivy Legue university protesting returning troops, spitting on them and calling them baby killers and murderers. Sadly the 60’s began the sexual revolution and the rapid decline in morality and quality of the average US citizen education and capabilities.
I’m Mexican with Navajo Apache ancestors and it’s easy to see the policies of the liberal university professors and todays leftist elites have been very successful in destroying the Judeo Christian foundations and replacing them with moral relativism and chaotic belief systems that have seen the nation turn into an abortion, suicide and self destructive population.
We are in big trouble and our people keep voting in puppets like Biden.

Speaking of ai-controlled kamikazes like switchblade 300 drones they didn't perform well in real combat warfare as I know. On the other hand operator controlled FPV kamikaze drones are extremely effective.

China seems to be a really big investor into swarm drone technology. They have put a ton of research into it. Every so often I see AI controlled LED light show drone night displays with most coming out of China. If they can do highly coordinated moves and operations by the thousands they can be used to lock down entire airspaces.

Didn’t Trump say something about being prepared to stay inside for 2 weeks then upped it to 6 months.
I mean that would fit with revelations. You’d have to stay inside until batteries ran out or a way to jam them was found or they got around to where you lived. Or they took out where they were controlled/monitored from.

As security technology increases so does hacker’s ability to access it. Thought is likely given to not arming them all as a hack could reverse the attack. The right persons with the right drop down menu of non compliant radio signals because war might make drones a no go.

Too expensive at this time to incorporate self-thinking drones - but most will link their camera and video feeds back to a central hub who would then access CCTV, databases and then a ground commander would execute on that. Don't think we really trust autonomous drone swarms at the moment.
