Still amazing that Ted Williams and Babe Ruth ONLY players with career average of .340 or better and 500 or more homers. Ted lost 3 full yrs for WW2 in prime and PRIME Teddy Ballgame is beyond amazing. Then in early 1950’s he loses another basically 2 full seasons. I think Ted easy reaches 600 plus homers but the question is if no WW2 or Korea does he hit .400 again? Biggest question though is....If Ted Williams never missed a game due to War, is his career average above or below .344?
