In 2022, metal greats DELAIN broke new ground by announcing their new lineup and eagerly - yearned - for new studio album, entitled Dark Waters, to be released February 10 via Napalm Records.

Possibly the best and most inspired symphonic power release this year; a return to the golden age of the genre in spirit. It's just a fun, consistently catchy and interesting album overall. Best work under "Delain" in years. Thrilled with this lineup. 10/10

There's a reason for that. This main motif/riff is from the 1980's Flashdance classic movie song "What A Feeling" by Irene Cara.
Brilliant song! Three songs now released with Diana and It seems like she has been there forever! Massive fan of the band in the past and unlike others on social media, I can say that the future for these guys has never looked better or brighter....Well done to all involved!

And Diana’s voice is just beautiful 🥺. She really fits in so well with the group. She is refreshing. I can’t wait for the album to be released. I still miss Charlotte...but am beginning to accept the new Delain. Diana's voice is very melodic but it lacks the strength Charlotte had...just my opinion. I will still listen to the band...ABSOLUTELY!

I'm normally into melodeath, but I've been playing the Dark Waters album repeatedly for about a month. My favourites are Hideaway Paradise, The Quest and the Curse, and this song.

This is the best song from Dark Waters and one of the best songs in Symphonic Metal this year. Absolutely astonishing.
My money is on Invictus, or possibly The Cold, but this song is amazing too for sure.

El riff de guitarra metaliza mucho más el tema y queda genial, aunque para mi gusto echo de menos los backing vocals guturales como en The Quest and the Curse. Me molaron mucho y no han vuelto a emplearlos. Espero que en otros temas los vuelva a haber 🤘

It's like the 80s instead of all the techno pop beats guitar n drums
I prefer the sound of Charlotte and guitar of Timo; used to be a huge fan. Timo's guitar was a lot more melodic and less chugging (sorry I"m a keyboardist, not a guitarist so that might not be the best way of saying it) and Charlotte had a much more nuanced voice with different styles of singing. Seems like there is less keyboard as well since the songs are heavier though still in the bridges. Diana is a great singer, but kind of like bubblegum to my ears (not enough variation in tone, style, etc.). Masters of Destiny was an incredible video musically and visually; absolute masterpiece.

I think new singer is very good, no need stay in shadow or shame anything.
I was a bit worried about the changes in the band at first, but god i think these new songs have resonated more with my than any other Delain song in a while, so i am pretty happy about the change now. Also Diana is fucking killing it!

really interesting sound. i'm getting a little Within Temptation / Lacuna Coil / Visions of Atlantis on the vocals, and the music feels like some Nightwish mixed with soilwork. definitely checking the album out next month.

You guys are 3 for 3 on this album - I'm loving it! This is definitely a different style from the other two songs, but you can't go wrong with some 80's headbanging nostalgia! This Delain resurrection is far exceeding my expectations, and you guys are kicking out some of the best music I've heard in a number of years!
I just watched new video. The song, Moth To A Flame, is pretty good to me. Happy to read the lyrics & sing a long in the video, and they're well written to me. :D

I really liked Charlotte as a singer and was worried when she left the band, but with Diana Leah taking the roll of lead singer my worries are now gone. Amazing job guys and Diana has knocked the ball out of the park.

When I started listening to this I thought ironically " Oh, great yet another generilc powermetal balad thingy.." But then the riff in the verse started just as I was about to skip to next video and it made me stay. This is quite a catchy song, yeah it's pretty generic, but still there is something about it. I rather do like this song.
