The presentation was amazing I don't know much about history but I really enjoyed hearing about your work! The way you spoke was so eloquent even with the few stumbles (which is extremely normal and a part of succeeding). I feel very proud to see you succeed. "Fled to the Enemy" is a good scholarly book title. I conducted a quick research, and I don't see anything like what you are discussing in this presentation on the market. Great job. On a different note, I used to stutter badly and was scared to speak in public and give presentations. Ironic how I became a teacher. Life.

Great paper! My undergrad was in Sociology and Political science and I’m pleased to see that I’m using my Qualitative and quantitative data gathering skills while working on my MA in History. You did such. A good job.

Do you have any suggestions for finding modern scholars in your field? (Mythology, in particular.)

Don't worry about the jumbles in your words! One time I had a virtual conference this past spring and the air from my ceiling fan got stuck in my throat while I was talking and I had a huge coughing fit MID PAPER. LOL 😂😂😂😂😂 I was so embarrassed at the time but now it is just a funny memory!

My abstract was accepted today for a conference. My work, my words and all I want to do is vomit. I don't know how to present this work. I'm taking ques from this.
Congrats! If you want to say "Norfolk" like the locals, it sounds like Nor-fick or Naw-f*ck if you want to sound really Southern. The L is silent. ;) There are some great pronunciation guide videos on TH-cam as well.

As a historian, I really enjoyed your presentation at this conference. You pushed through on the nerves! Good job! I sometimes stumble on my words too when I present. I like going first so I can get it over with 😂. I also took your advice and started a TH-cam channel. I’m trying to focus the channel on student success for undocumented immigrants and DACA recipients. I hope you will check it out 💚
