    May I know the location of the hawker center where you were having lunch ?

    Omg I’m also going to be staying at mansion one for my Penang trip in a few days, btw at hawkers after eating the food do we return the plates back to the owner or just let it be??

    • @thelowmads
      @thelowmads  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You just let it be. Each hawker has their own color plates and spoons/chopsticks, and they will collect them once you are finished. Enjoy your stay at Mansion One. There are 2 nearby hawker centers. Fordham Beach Cafe is the closest just across the street. Right on the waterfront with a nice cool breeze. But our favorite for breakfast and lunch (dinner the selection is not as good since some stalls are closed) is Shark, which is within 8 minutes walk. Shark has the best Hokkien Mee, and Curry Mee isn't bad either.

      Wow! We're going to explore the MM2H process for one of our videos. Will see if we can link up with some mutual friends of our family to get the information out there. Malaysia is such a great destination for MM2H.

    How much is rent per month there for a STR?

    • @thelowmads
      @thelowmads  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ours was $400+/- for the week. I'm sure it's cheaper by the month but we're traveling around. Also, there are cheaper options but we wanted to be central and a bit more space. Rate actually includes garage parking though we didn't have a car. But would be convenient if we did.

    kopitiam is Hainanese, not Hokkien.

    • @thelowmads
      @thelowmads  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We speak Hokkien dialect in Penang. "Kopi Tiam" directly translates to "Coffee Shop" not that it is a Hokkien coffee shop. :)
