      1) Still, $113 per night for a nice hotel room anywhere in the world, is practically a PITTANCE, I dare say.
      2) I look forward to your going to Cairns, Oz.
      >>> Gabriel, CAIRNS is pronounced "CANS" like cans of peas or worms.
      3) Yes, you do not want to fly to anywhere when the weather is forecast to be thundering and with lightning, as well. So, it was a good idea to scrap going to Cairns although I have heard the place is magical!

    • @MuhammadIamhardBrucelee
      @MuhammadIamhardBrucelee ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SuiGenerisAbbie Americans have a strange way of pronouncing “ Cairns” and he isn’t the first one I heard pronounce Cairns with an emphasis on the R and the I and the R transposed.
      You should hear Americans pronounce Iran, Iraq and Italy, especially people from the South. They pronounce it like the I is a standalone syllable.

    • @MuhammadIamhardBrucelee
      @MuhammadIamhardBrucelee ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s the holiday season and $113 for a room like that is well expected. If the rooms are cheaper in January, then you should have visited in January lol
      Also, what can you possibly see and experience in these places for just a day or two? It’s the kind of travel Karen and Nate would do and visit each country capital for 12 hours and call it “ We went to 100 countries”

    • @SuiGenerisAbbie
      @SuiGenerisAbbie ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MuhammadIamhardBrucelee FYI, I am American. But, Cairns is truly pronounced "cans" and it sounds just like the word, "cans".

    Hi Gabriel, I get the feeling you're avoiding the winter and especially covid. Colder climates mean being indoors is increasingly susceptible to catching the flu and cold. The U.S. is getting bombed with significant snow and freezing weather so you're not missing anything but some good skiing and snowboarding which you may not be in the mood for. Malaysia is a good stop that gives you a chance to think about where you want to go next. Australia is enjoying the summer now December through February you may change your mind. I know you mentioned Thailand the weather won't disappoint hot and low humidity.

    The northern part of Australia is the hottest part - at this time of year in particular. Further south in the more temperate regions it’s a perfect time to experience beautiful beaches and the natural beauty of the countryside. Australia is a large country - it’s several hours flying time from Cairns to Sydney. Hope you do manage to get here some time soon!

    The experience of buying a motor scooter or motorcycle in Malaysia might be better if you had a buyer - or even someone who would be renting and maintaining it for their own income too. If you started something like this I'd patronize the service. Visiting those farms which have some durian varieties grown in pots and ready to transplant... that's when a motor lift might be essential.
    There's a few organic farms which could guide the best location-location -location AND find a way for the wwoof volunteers to do water and establish them. What fun. Planting something that lasts and continues making delicious results. Could start/continue something here.
    Napoh Eco Farm is a little north of Kedah and has a guest house, camping and maybe pizza. The website has the phone#, photos 🌲😎🌲

    Cairns is set in the wet tropics though over the range (30min drive) the rain shadows abruptly finishes (usually) into the dry tropics. Got to see Penang soon!

    Long history short, in the beginning of the milleneum, peoples from india brought in hinduism as well as buddhism into all over south east asia (think Angkor Watt, Borobodur etc). Subsequently, as india fell under moghul rule, many of now muslim traders from india came to south east asia and reinforced islam influences (originally from middle east).

    if it was raining in cairns why not go to sydney , melbourne or Perth , Tasmania or a millions other places in Australia where its not raining and the weather is nice. Cairns is a great place but its not the only great place in AUstralia worth visiting. . This is the best time of year to visit the southern half of AUstralia when its nice and warm if you go in winter the southern half can be cold and wet, maybe just stop over in Sydeny or melbourne on your way back for a day or two then you can atleast say you have been to AUstralia
