First of all: your voice, humor, and mannerisms are so different than what I imagined from your silent cooking videos! :D Secondly: I literally just made this dish yesterday! Except I used tempeh instead of tofu, and used coconut milk for the peanut sauce :)
I swear I rewatch this video on a regular basis. For one thing, I love this recipe and make it all the time. Secondly, do I have to explain? It's the Buddhist Chef. It's its own entertainment.
"First, you set it free." Oh my! I love your videos and I've cooked many of the recipes. This is the first one that I have seen your face and heard your voice. You are beautiful and funny too! Looking forward to watching more videos-- and cooking more of your recipes. Thank you!
FINE! fine... you win. I will try tofu again...your way. I'm tempted to video my family's reaction for you to see, lol. It's been about a year and a half since I have tried to use it. Also, thanks for being very specific and explaining everything simply. We love your videos!
I discovered The Buddhist Chef a few months ago, but I hadn't tried any recipes until this week. I'm lazy and a lousy cook, but I thought this looked simple enough for me. It is! I left out the Sriracha sauce because it's too spicy for me and served the tofu on very mildly spiced rice. So delicious! I wonder why he's not posting anymore?
you're right Jean-Philippe it's so esay to make. I went in Thaïlande too and the cook is amazing there. Very inspiring.... I love tofu with peanuts butter, spicy with vegetebales. that tastes powerfull... thanks for making all these vegan recipes . 😚
That's so cool that you got this from thailand. I made this based off your other video today. Main difference was that I deep fryed the tofu and added fish sauce and chilli powder (ground from chili flakes). I think I may have discovered the missing ingredients.
wow! I love your seitan recipe and your peanut tofu recipe. That's actually how I found you. But I never thought you could be so funny and sarcastic! lol
First of all You’re adorable Second... you’re recipes are easy to follow without unnatural ingredients and your simple food looks amazing. Gonna try all of them. Thanks.
I had no idea until yesterday that you did these videos with you and not just your hands. Wow, you have a great personality! As far as this recipe, I think that I would marinate the tofu in some lime juice before tossing it into the sauce. Cilantro in the end, too, never hurts, unless you hate it.
I have enjoyed all your recipes that I've tried so far! I'm looking forward to trying this today. ☺ Your brown rice/black bean burger is my family's favorite! Keep making videos, they're great! ☺
My niece and nephew loved this recipe. At first they were scared to try it because they had no idea what tofu was or what it tasted like but the peanut butter was the perfect distraction. When it's kid approved it is a big deal!
Love your recipes. We recently had a tofu "steak" at a restaurant that was amazing. It had a very charred flavor with char marks from the grill, but I can't seem to replicate it. Any tips?
Thank you for this! I've been wanting to make this for ages but most recipes call for ingredients not available in my area. I think i can get almost all the ingredients in this recipe though, except the maple syrup. Do you have any suggestions for alternatives (we don't have agarve or anything like that either)
To make tofu extra-firmer and get as much water out as possible I microwave it prior to using in recipes. Do you think this is a good idea? Also, I've made this using peanut oil vs canola...with the peanut butter, wouldn't it match better? Thanks!
cool mon ami..mais savais-tu que l'arachide n'est pas une noix, j'ai appris ça récemment... signée une conseillière en alimentation chez Avril, non c'est pas une pub !
"as you can see ? " No we can't see the pan ! Good videos though , try Indian cuisine I think it will be easier because no need of alliteration from the original recipe . I was raised vegetarian later became a vegan and it's easier here in India.

To make tofu extra-firmer and get as much water out as possible I microwave it prior to using in recipes. Do you think this is a good idea? Also, I've made this using peanut oil vs canola...with the peanut butter, wouldn't it match better? Thanks!
I made some almond butter with coconut oil and the scent of it is begging me to put it in a sauce for stir fry. Im doing this SOON.
I loved it! But I baked the tofu first.
I had a friend in the 70s that did a lot of Ludes, his eyes look exactly the same as yours... when they were open.

Are you so slim because of a vegan diet?? 😊😊😊
I didn’t think Buddhist could eat onions or garlic?!?
Lol
"as you can see ? " No we can't see the pan !
Good videos though , try Indian cuisine I think it will be easier because no need of alliteration from the original recipe .
