The problem with the eagles is not Hurts. They have 3 no 1 draft picks on the defensive line that are doing absolutely nothing. And they never address linebackers. They can't stop the run and they can't get to the QB.

His game is short and intermediate throws with some designed runs for him. On the defensive side we need a better scheme like we had with Gannon. I like Vic but his schemes don't fit our D-line. If something doesn't change on that side especially with our D-line it's going to be a long season reminiscent of last year.

I believe Hurts is a very good QB, but it seems like he’s turned into an ego baller, he tries to play hero when he doesn’t have to, and he has to get better at throwing receivers open. With that being said….Sirianni will be his ultimate downfall, Sirianni is incompetent, and hurts is going to be stuck cycling through OCs, and not having his constant offensive guy who’ll coach him up and help him develop other facets of his game as long as Sirianni is calling the shots. Sirianni should not be the coach of this team, and I’m hoping Belichick, klint kubiak, or Bobby slowik will be HC of the eagles next year to finally help Jalen take that next step

Hurts is good 85% of the time, then he makes Carson Wentz type throws. I’m okay with Hurts, especially as an Eagles fan. What’s most concerning is how anemic the offense looked like without AJ Brown. Smitty and Goedert were mid at best vs ATL, and our 3rd down efficiency was anything but efficient. I realize it’s going to take some time to get Dotson into the fold, but we clearly need another piece to contend down the stretch against stacked teams.

Hey, first off new subscriber. I enjoy the fair and even nature of your show. I am a lifelong Eagles fan, I am 49 now and Ive been watching the Eagles since I was 12. Jalen Hurts is not the problem at all with the Eagles. Every QB has bad games and sometimes they also have bad seasons. Yes last year he threw too many picks but look at his whole Eagles career as a starter. He never had a problem with turnovers until last season and during his time as a starter the Eagles have made the playoffs every year. Jalen has a legit shot to get the Eagles back to a superbowl and win it. The problem is when he makes even one mistake its magnified because this defensive scheme is atrocious. I said the scheme is atrocious. Its read and react. its passive and guys like Huff and Carter are used to shooting gaps and attacking. Some of these younger fans either dont remember the years when even a playoff season was few and far between and had to make due with QBs like Koy Detmer and Bobby Hoying. They say things like he cant read a defense when he is 17/18 from the pocket. They say he cant throw over the middle when he opens up throwing a dartt right over the middle to the back up TE. He only throws to two people!! he threw five passes to the TEs , three (not counting the drop) to saquan and 6 to covey. These people either dont watch the games and are bandwagoners or worse, get information from guys like Nick Wright and Dan Sileo, two paid schills. The defense is the issue. As an eagles fan I’m not done with jalen. But the media in Philly can be brutal but from TH-cam channels from Philly are 50/50 like some are saying jalen could still have won the game. But some are saying jalen did well. In my opinion jalen was the best player on the field he was in control and looked good in my opinion. But I do think this lost can start an avalanche of losses with the red hot saints next, and a good looking bucs team coming up.

I’m a day 1 Eagles Fan.. Hurts is An OKAY QB.. he’s Not Elite right now to me.. he needs a lot of growth as a passer of the football. He doesn’t consistently shred defenses up with his arm especially taking advantage of the middle of the field. He throws too many 4-5yard passes. (Dinking and Dunking).. He doesn’t spread the ball around to all his weapons so nobody ever gets going except the same 2-3 guys.He also puts way too much air on his medium to deep passes.. all the interceptions I’ve seen him throw seems like the safety’s have plenty of time to get to his passes and pick him off. As a runner He is a Beast, But how long of a Career do you expect with Jalen taking those types of hits..
These are true observations. It's going to far to say he is elite. He has the ability to be great but our organization has not facilitated his growth as we could have. He has had instability all around him all along. I hope he gets to reach his potential. He has alot to grow on but no way am I giving up on him or blaming him as the root of our issues🤦♀️

Yeah I think it's just the expecations for Hurts and Philly are through the roof. So anything short of success is seen as failure. Think how Dallas takes pride in winning 12 games but losing in the playoffs. Philly doesn't do that.

All he had to do was get a couple of side lines throws to put Elliot in range..but nooooo what does he do? Never cared for Hurts. When he is running a lot he seems to do well but if he plays only from the pocket it’s very hit and miss. He isn’t bad but in no way do I think he is elite. Again the run game really elevates him but I think on a yearly average he is about the 10-14 ranked qb somewhere in there with some occasional highs bc of coaching/roster/luck. You can win with that so he’s not a guy to give up on. His propensity to throw deep needlessly in the most critical situations is very concerning though.

The issue for the Eagles is the defensive line is doing absolutely nothing and the run defense is also trash (and I’m saying this as an Eagles fan). I thought maybe the Brazil game was an excuse at first because of how bad that field was but after the home opener, that theory no longer holds any water. The only good thing was Jalen looked like his old self and played really good (up until that forced INT at the end that was unnecessary).
It's Fangio inexplicably running wide-9 with only two down linemen on early downs. Literally, any team can gash you on the ground against that. I cannot, for the life of me, understand his thinking behind doing that.

The issues are dumb play calling and soft defense that Howie is pushing on the coaches by building roster in specific ways. Buddy Ryan’s defense is not walking through that door. Jalen and his lack of patience to go through progressions is a big issue but good coaching can contain this.

I could talk about a lot that’s wrong with the eagles, but staying on topic about Hurts, if I’m being brutally honest. I believe Hurts is a very good QB, but it seems like he’s turned into an ego baller, he tries to play hero when he doesn’t have to, and he has to get better at throwing receivers open. With that being said….Sirianni will be his ultimate downfall, Sirianni is incompetent, and hurts is going to be stuck cycling through OCs, and not having his constant offensive guy who’ll coach him up and help him develop other facets of his game as long as Sirianni is calling the shots. Sirianni should not be the coach of this team, and I’m hoping Belichick, klint kubiak, or Bobby slowik will be HC of the eagles next year to finally help Jalen take that next step

Hurts is good 85% of the time, then he makes Carson Wentz type throws. I’m okay with Hurts, especially as an Eagles fan. What’s most concerning is how anemic the offense looked like without AJ Brown. Smitty and Goedert were mid at best vs ATL, and our 3rd down efficiency was anything but efficient. I realize it’s going to take some time to get Dotson into the fold, but we clearly need another piece to contend down the stretch against stacked teams.

Hey, first off new subscriber. I enjoy the fair and even nature of your show. I am a lifelong Eagles fan, I am 49 now and Ive been watching the Eagles since I was 12. Jalen Hurts is not the problem at all with the Eagles. Every QB has bad games and sometimes they also have bad seasons. Yes last year he threw too many picks but look at his whole Eagles career as a starter. He never had a problem with turnovers until last season and during his time as a starter the Eagles have made the playoffs every year. Jalen has a legit shot to get the Eagles back to a superbowl and win it. The problem is when he makes even one mistake its magnified because this defensive scheme is atrocious. I said the scheme is atrocious. Its read and react. its passive and guys like Huff and Carter are used to shooting gaps and attacking. Some of these younger fans either dont remember the years when even a playoff season was few and far between and had to make due with QBs like Koy Detmer and Bobby Hoying. They say things like he cant read a defense when he is 17/18 from the pocket. They say he cant throw over the middle when he opens up throwing a dartt right over the middle to the back up TE. He only throws to two people!! he threw five passes to the TEs , three (not counting the drop) to saquan and 6 to covey. These people either dont watch the games and are bandwagoners or worse, get information from guys like Nick Wright and Dan Sileo, two paid schills. The defense is the issue. As an eagles fan I’m not done with jalen. But the media in Philly can be brutal but from TH-cam channels from Philly are 50/50 like some are saying jalen could still have won the game. But some are saying jalen did well. In my opinion jalen was the best player on the field he was in control and looked good in my opinion. But I do think this lost can start an avalanche of losses with the red hot saints next, and a good looking bucs team coming up.

McNabb had no weapons, Wentz had no weapons. Hurts is the next franchise QB with alotta weapons compare to the ones I named. We’re not settling this season. Nothing less than the NFC chip or else… next Draft. It’s what we do in our city 💯

I’m a day 1 Eagles Fan.. Hurts is An OKAY QB.. he’s Not Elite right now to me.. he needs a lot of growth as a passer of the football. He doesn’t consistently shred defenses up with his arm especially taking advantage of the middle of the field. He throws too many 4-5yard passes. (Dinking and Dunking).. He doesn’t spread the ball around to all his weapons so nobody ever gets going except the same 2-3 guys.He also puts way too much air on his medium to deep passes.. all the interceptions I’ve seen him throw seems like the safety’s have plenty of time to get to his passes and pick him off. As a runner He is a Beast, But how long of a Career do you expect with Jalen taking those types of hits..
These are true observations. It's going to far to say he is elite. He has the ability to be great but our organization has not facilitated his growth as we could have. He has had instability all around him all along. I hope he gets to reach his potential. He has alot to grow on but no way am I giving up on him or blaming him as the root of our issues🤦♀️

Yeah I think it's just the expecations for Hurts and Philly are through the roof. So anything short of success is seen as failure. Think how Dallas takes pride in winning 12 games but losing in the playoffs. Philly doesn't do that.

Never cared for Hurts. When he is running a lot he seems to do well but if he plays only from the pocket it’s very hit and miss. He isn’t bad but in no way do I think he is elite. Again the run game really elevates him but I think on a yearly average he is about the 10-14 ranked qb somewhere in there with some occasional highs bc of coaching/roster/luck. You can win with that so he’s not a guy to give up on. His propensity to throw deep needlessly in the most critical situations is very concerning though.
Ive seen alot of fans that loved Jalen starting to turn but its only because they went to the superbowl, okay next year we will win it, then they started off odd but went 10-1 and jalen was injured but then he started fumbling and throwing picks. The issue for the Eagles is the defensive line is doing absolutely nothing and the run defense is also trash (and I’m saying this as an Eagles fan). I thought maybe the Brazil game was an excuse at first because of how bad that field was but after the home opener, that theory no longer holds any water. The only good thing was Jalen looked like his old self and played really good (up until that forced INT at the end that was unnecessary).

The issues are dumb play calling and soft defense that Howie is pushing on the coaches by building roster in specific ways. Buddy Ryan’s defense is not walking through that door. I'm over the decision making of the coaching staff .. should of took the 3 in the first drive build momentum.. then should of went for it on 4th if your still only up 3(if you were up 6 bc of the first fg, then obviously you kick the 3) but going up 6b does no good .... even it you didn't score on 4th down you leave them backed up 90+ yards with the same amount of time left and give them the target of a fg to push ot rather than needing
