All religions are abused by People. But what i can say is at least the Founder of this religion never forced anyone to agree with him or forced conversions. People in Power though used Religion as a tool and convenient excuse. Claim to represent it or protect it then used it to justify all manners of Crimes against humanity. The Christians and Muslims accused each other of trying to corrupt them and the game of out converting each other using Religion to kill and massacre each other. It has become a Religious supremacy competition or Religious Hegemony competition.
Each point out the hypocrisy of each other's religion and both condemn Anyone that dares to disagree with them. At the end of the day its just a Belief. A believer is praised to the high heavens while a non believer is demonized to burn in hell and pays zero attention to Merit of a person. As if a believer in a certain religion is automatically good LOL.
There are Criminals and Rapist of all kinds of Religion or lack of religion. Its actually what a person actually does and not what kind of Religion or lack of religion that a person that actually matters is good or bad. It matters Most of what a person actually Does and not what a person Proclaims himself to be.
I am Holy but i steal, I am a non believer but i steal. Deeds not words.

It can be safely stated that Buddhism is not a religion, but it's a philosophy. It doesn't concern whether or not GOD exists. Its main concern is how to live every minute of one's life meaningfully. If you can do that, you achieve enlightenment.

    • @cromi4194
      @cromi4194 2 ปีที่แล้ว +145

The word philosophy doesn't capture it, because philosophy is mostly concerned with understanding through the use of the intellect. Buddhism is concerned with understanding through direct experience. In a way its almost the opposite of philosophy as it aims at transcending the intellect.
Maybe Teravada is not very religion-like, but once you enter mahayana or even Tibetan buddhism with its bodhisattvas and cosmologies it is definitely a religion.

As a Catholic, I find the Buddha's teachings to be inspirational. I think his teachings apply to all people. I have to say, I agree with the lesson of these words. I believe in God and Jesus, yet I also know that it is unknown whether God exists or not. We must get all perspectives and look at the sides of believers and nonbelievers. This can help us grow in intellect and thought. It can help us become critical thinkers. We have to look at and understand the ways of life and beliefs of others. Back in 2020, I became closer to God through the internet and TH-cam. I also like to learn about others believe in. Also, there aren't just two kinds of people when it comes to religion "theists and atheists" you also have agnostics. But I find his words to be of inspiration for me.

Buddhism is about Buddha's "wisdom in teaching of life" not about worship. When Buddha's teaching went to China it became Taoist Buddhism and they made him a prime deity instead of just learning most would just worship him. When Buddhism went to Japan it became Zen Buddhism where it also made him a deity.
Seek wisdom of his teaching and not expect to be enlightened by just worshiping him. Some people just don't seem to want to learn but pray & worship instead.

    • @ramaraksha01
      @ramaraksha01 2 ปีที่แล้ว +29

Yes the goal is different - when one is a student - one wants to learn, improve and so one seeks a Teacher
But if all one cares about are pleasures of the flesh - Christians & Muslims - all they are looking for is some magic man they worship and who will be pleased by their high praises and GIVE them the easy good life they are looking for. Which is why Muslims worship 5 times a day without fail

    • @ramaraksha01
      @ramaraksha01 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

@@jetdeleon Advaita literally means "Not Two" whereas Dvaita means "Two" basically saying We are one with God, God & us are not separate
As for worshipping a deity - western ancients made God in the image of the image of the local King/Dictator
The King/Dictator decides whether you live in his kingdom/realm(Heaven) or not and so he must be pleased(worshipped)
Muslims must pray 5 times a day
It is like pleasing your boss or King- in ancient times of course it was kissing his shoes, being a good slave
In today's times you please your boss more by working hard, your qualifications, who you are as a person matters, not worship
Advaita saying we are one with God is also saying we ARE the Gods - that is what the ancient Greek religion is saying as well
Basically inherent in us is the light of God & our path forward is to carry this light forward - becoming God like - again who you are as a person
Christians & Muslims are not interested in being God-like they want Heaven - the easy lazy life - eternal pleasures of the flesh - that is GIVEN, not Earned - down on one's knees, beg, grovel and get Heaven
Fools will end up as Dogs
They will get their easy lazy life - free food, shelter, protection and care - no work, no worries - Heaven!

There is no universe without someone or perhaps a team of Creators creating this ultra complex virtual world we call the universe. They've designed it so perfectly that we cannot use anything but deep meditation and spiritual techniques to make sense of it. Our work is never over until all humans raise their consciousness to a higher level. this is quite correct, I searched for God when i was a young man [in India actually ] and God came to me in a most beautiful way , this was after a lot of prayer, searching, but most importantly giving away to the poor everything i had materially , letting go and having complete faith that things would work out, and oh my God, it was a beautiful, amazing experience, such that I have never doubted for a single second since that time in 1973 . I now " see" God with my own "spiritual eyes "each day . Found God thru basically chanting Hindu Prayers, then in 1983, found Bahaullah [The Glory of God ], which made the puzzle complete...Bahai Faith is the Religion for this age, True Religion is eternal in the Past, and eternal in the future, all the Great teachers are from the same "God" or Invisible Essence, or whatever you chose to call the unknowable.Abraham , 4000BC , Moses 1300 BC , Zoroaster , Christ , Bhudda, Krishna , Muhammed, Bab and Bahaullah . Your story reminds me of a similar experience I had back in 2012, I had spent a number of years on a quest for the almighty reading about God, praying, and meditating upon him and finally one evening while I was meditating I came out of my body and found myself in a void surrounded by demons but I wasn't frightened because I felt something watching me in the distance and when I looked up I saw a light off in the distance that I knew was God and telepathically God told me that he had been waiting for me for a long time and asked me if I was coming with him or not, to which I replied "yes God I'am seeking you sincerely" at that moment a ray came out of the light and pulled me into it, and the demons as well as all my fears/disappointments and any other negativities that I had ever lived with dissolved into this light and were replaced only by unconditional love, beauty, and bliss beyond anything I can describe in words, I was then told that "humanity shall experience the hell it creates for itself" I understood that I was told this because God curses no one it's only we as individuals and as a race that do that ourselves and each other. Just before I woke up back in my body I was told I could return to this place once my work on earth was done, this was a beautiful experience and has gotten me through many trying things in my life since then.

@@yaadapaah887 I ask myself the same question all the time as I know the Holy Spirit dwells within us all and too many look from without, Buddha once said "seek peace within and not without" and Jesus also told us "Heaven is within" what I caught was a glimpse of the almighty within myself after many years of looking within through meditation and praying for guidance on every situation I've faced in life which also comes from the Holy Spirit within. Only thing I can't understand is how to achieve and maintain a perfect union with God, being that it's within us all it seems like it should be so easy and sometimes glimpses of it have come effortlessly but most other times it seems hopelessly distant and unreachable

I like the task of Nirvana more within Sikhism than I do Buddhism cause I like believing in an intelligent force behind everything, but that is my truth. Others have their own and that's ok. I apply a lot of different philosophies to my beliefs and so I like a bit of everything.

      Consider the following example:
Two successful engineers/ businessmen, approached an individual, like themselves, and asked his opinion as a friend if their near perfect engineering drawing using 10mm thick steel would be adequate, strength wise.
He replied that 15mm would be the right choice, and they left the place.
Another engineer who withessed the meetin on the scene Felt that 10 mm would be good enough and said so!
The answer provider stated that he would simply like these engineers to keep asking about everything and everything!

I share you about Jesus, may God bless you.
John 7: 15 The Jews then were astonished, saying, “How has this man become learned, having never been educated?” 16 So Jesus answered them and said, “My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me. 17 If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself. 18 He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
19 “Did not Moses give you the Law, and yet none of you carries out the Law? Why do you seek to kill Me?” 20 The crowd answered, “You have a demon! Who seeks to kill You?”
John 18: 37 Therefore Pilate said to Him, “So You are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” 38 Pilate *said to Him, “What is truth?”
And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews and *said to them, “I find no guilt in Him. 39 But you have a custom that I release someone [m]for you at the Passover; do you wish then that I release [n]for you the King of the Jews?” 40 So they cried out again, saying, “Not this Man, but Barabbas.” Now Barabbas was a robber.
John 21: 24 This is the disciple who is testifying to these things and wrote these things, and we know that his testimony is true. 25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself *would not contain the books that *would be written.
Where can one start reading The Bible?
New Testament: Gospel according to John and/or Acts.

What's the use of merely saying : I believe in God.
We know many people who believe in God's existence. We also know that these same people misbehave, are dishonest, hate and do harm to humans etc. So what's the use of saying: I believe in God when you do not behave in a Godlike manner?
It's more important to be a good person, to do one's duties conscientiously, to respect other people and to do good to all, than to merely say in words: I believe in God, and then behave like a hypocrite.
Buddha was a good person who was not fond of money and wealth, but was one who lived a simple life and was a happy person. He had a magnetic personality and those who wanted to be like him and live like him, lived with him and became his disciples.

There is a sutra about the misconception of 'All is Caused by God's Creative Action'; the Buddha described to his disciples (bhikkhus) his encounter with the ascetics and brahmins who had this view...
*"Then, bhikkhus, I approached those ascetics and brahmins who hold such a doctrine and view as this: 'Whatever this person experiences-whether pleasure, pain, or neither-pain-nor-pleasure-all that is caused by God's creative activity,' and I said to them: 'Is it true that you venerable ones hold such a doctrine and view?'*
*When I ask them this, this affirm it. Then I say to them: 'In such a case, it is due to God's creative activity that you might destroy life, take what is not given, indulge in sexual activity, speak falsehood, utter divisive speech, speak harshly, indulge in idle chatter; that you might be full of longing, have a mind of ill will, and hold wrong view.'*
*"Those who fall back on God's creative activity as the essential truth have no desire [to do] what should be done and [to avoid doing] what should not be done, nor do they make an effort in this respect.*
*Since they do not apprehend as true and valid anything that should be done or should not be done, they are muddle-minded, they do not guard themselves, and even the personal designation 'ascetic' could not be legitimately be applied to them"*
The sutra explains it all. The Tathagata's level of teaching is incomparable.

Rather than being forced to be good, we are granted free will... but with the added side effect of consequences. So we do not know to what extent our goodness or badness determines what happens in this life or on the final result after death, but we must accept the responsibility. The truth is the truth no matter what one believes, a person might be "religious" and bad or "atheist" and good. We don't get to determine the final result of our life, but have to take responsibility in our own way anyway. There are many crossover teachings... moderation/middle way, compassion, humility, forgiveness are all common overlaps. Some know the teachings very well but are bad at these things, some know them much less and are good at these things. It's not the outward appearances that matter. The universe knows the heart.

Yeshua has told us in his teachings the importance of passing down his laws and showing love to one another.
Without this there is no respect and there is no love.

A tale of my own teachings.... Once upon a time my son was born and my wife got a Post parthem psychosis. After 1,5 week of happiness and pink clouds, she was put in an mental health clinic for 2,5 years. I gave up my work to take care of my son and went to the clinic everyday for 2 times. One visit in the morning, one time in the evening. This became a heavy task, for my wife looked hardly like the woman that i was used to look at. She was a ghost, a medicine junkie, a zombi. After almost 2,5 years of carrying i reached the point of critical discision making. Should I continu with the visits knowing that it would destroy me, and then my son lost his father too. Or should I stop with visiting and leave the woman that I loved so much and who was the mother of our love baby. We knew each other for 14 years at that time. I was brought up without religion, but with thrust that we all are guided. So I bent on my knees and asked, Christ, Buddha, Allah, Yehovah. Whatever God you are. When there is a guiding spirit over us. Please tell me what to do. Because I am going to collapse under the weight that I am carrying and this is going to have a big impact on my son. A vision of my grandmother appeared on the coffeetable and she spoke. Have faith, do not make the discision yet. In due time your wife is coming home. I thanked the spirit and rose up. After one more week of visits suddenly my wife stood in the house declaring that she was released from the clinic. We could begin a new chapter of parenting. The moral of this story. It doesnt matter which god guides us, it s important to know that there is guidence if you ask guidence without predjudice.

Demons are not to be played with, honored or appeased.....they are to be cast out 'to the dry places' and wait until Jesus cast them into the lake of fire for eternity.

I share about Jesus with you.
John 18: 36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom [k]is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not [l]of this realm.” 37 Therefore Pilate said to Him, “So You are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king.
25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they *were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself *would not contain the books that *would be written.
      May God bless you.

One thing I love from that same gospel which you quote is when he then said “Before Abraham was, I am”. Jesus always mentioned taking up thy cross and crucifying ones flesh desires, ego, and following him. He says , For whoever would save his life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Losing ones life to one with material desire is just that, but one gains life when that is done. With no desire how can suffering stand? This person has union with God, even mind stops with no intention. Thus one becomes in union with the father through Christ. Through the spirit. Advaita Vedanta is the fulfillment of Christianity. Even Yahweh literally means “I am”. God does not try to be this or that, he doesn’t say “I am .. this” or “I am.. that”. He doesn’t cling onto phenomenon or else his position of eternity would fail as clinging is temporary want. He just is, he is the “I am” before it attaches to phenomenon. You say “I am the body and mind”. “I am thinking” or maybe “I weigh ___ much”. “I have a personality”. But these are all false. The “I” or the witness, the spirit which sees all changing, coming and going, is none of those. How can you be that which you are aware of. Only because you attach to phenomenon of the external world and pleasures you see yourself differently from others and you see yourself as the body or mind. But you are not , take away attachment, crucify yourself and take up thy cross and all that stands is the spirit.
“Do not love this world, nor the things in this world. If anyone loves this world, the love of the Father is not in them, because all that is in this world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life… is of this world!” (1 John 2:15-16)
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” - 1 Samuel 16:7
Do not let your adorning be external-the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear- but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious. (1 Peter 3:3-4)
"The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD, and He will delight in the fear of the Lord." Isaiah 11:2-3
Now the Lord is the spirit , and where the spirit of the lord is , there is freedom.
      2 Corinthians 3:17
The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you’ (Luke 17.20-21).
‘I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me’ (John 14.6).
-> only because you are attached to the body and mind you illusionally read this as Jesus saying he as a personal self is to be worshipped to find God but Jesus says give you sense of personal self and abide in the spirit, abide in Christ as Paul liked to word it. Notice the “I am” , I am is Yahweh and Jesus is one with the one true reality which is known in Christian theology as Yahweh but in Hinduism as Brahman, in Buddhism as Sunyata or Dharmakaya, etc. The only way to the father is through him, through the spirit just as Paul said in Corinthians. Through Christ. Not the body of Christ but Christ as the “I am”. The just being of the lord. You may think this is just my interpretation but let’s see from what Jesus has spoke upon us..
      John 14:20
On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you
Jesus says he is in us.
      Proverbs 20:27
The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all his innermost parts
The son of god is the one spirit. The atman. Father is Brahman.
The only reason there is separation amongst religion and traditions is because we interpret them through our own condition mind of the sense of ego and false realities due to sin.
Furthermore, O Arjuna, I am the generating seed of all existences. There is no being, moving or unmoving, that can exist without me” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 10.39)
“I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who perfectly know this engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts”(Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 10.8)
You see, Jesus and Krishna do not talk as personal self, this is misinterpretation by our human ignorance. We tend to identify by ego. They are talking as one with the infinite. They aren’t talking as the man with long hair, or dark skin, or a beard, or who plays the flute. They are talking about that which is their true being, god. They are talking as god. Not Krishna the body is the origin of all existence but god is. Jesus is the same, you think Jesus with the spiritual attainment he has still identifies as the body? No he is one with the lord god. So he talks as such.
We attach to being human in human body and flesh. We tend to separate me from you and you to him. But if both you and him or me and you put off all desire, attachment and were to just be still ,would we not have the same foundation of existence within us we both experience at all times? We are only separate because of attachment to the body and desires and actions we commit. This is the exact reason that man exist. All of us. Because if we had transcended all of these attachments and desires thus action , we would have been enlightened. We are already enlightened and perfect, is god not? But, we attach to the projection founded off of this cosmic infinite being, we label as God. Or Brahman.
And I quote from one of my own writings:
“Although the life of the false self and self of attachment will be gone, dead perhaps, the spirit will be full of life and eternity will be held in thy palms. The heart of the Lord will be in the palms of you. But, you shalt notice the heart of the Lord is you. The heart of the Lord is the Lord and the Lord is heart. The false being was what was being illusion-ally built up over time! And we still attach to it even no matter how much it can fade as if it had never had breath. “
This perfectly explains Brahman/Atman. Spirit and god. This explains Ego and attachment and Perfection and Self.
Once the attachment to the body and mind is fully dead the spirit rises and we merge with god and obtain eternal life. Is this not perfectly explained in the Bible?
“I and the father are one”.

@@bartleon You may do your job of what you believe is right and try to convert people to your view of Christianity, I am not against it for you do it because you have compassion for others since you goal and want is to bring them to eternal life in the one truth what you believe to be that is, for why should I get mad at you for this if anything I should be kneeling in praise of such actions. But just know, for one to obtain the kingdom of God it cannot work against itself. Put the kingdom of Satan to stand it cannot work against itself. As Jesus had stated in the Gospel of Matthew and Luke. The kingdom of God comes whenone gives up fleshdesire and walks in the spirit as Life originally was to be. The kingdom of Satan comes when one indulges in sense pleasures and attaches to that of the mind which is unreal and only arose due to ignorance. For they will die desiring the body and not the non-desire of the original spirit. For they will be of the world and not of the Lord. This person can’t inherit eternal life as death bothers them. They see their personal self and desires fading away when they die hence they suffer. One with no desires, that is them being crucified, does resting and oneness with the father through Christ the spirit. Death doesn’t bother such a person because they have became one with the only true reality of the spirit of the lord , Christ, the son, which is unchanging. How can Buddhism teaches the practice of just which Jesus preached as well as other creeds such as Hinduism not inherit the kingdom of God within if they practice abiding in Christ and not of the world? For your delusions cause more separation and separation is not of union of the father but of ignorance of the desired flesh thus ego , of sin that is. It is not of Christ but of the world.
      Psalm 82:6
I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
      John 17:21-23
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
      Romans 8:9
You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
      1 Corinthians 3:16
Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
      Romans 8:10
But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
      Romans 8:9-11
You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
      Romans 8:14
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
      1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
But there is a spirit within people, the breath of the Almighty within them, that makes them intelligent. - Job 32:8
For the Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. - Job 33:4
If God were to take back his spirit and withdraw his breath, all life would cease, and humanity would turn again to dust. - Job 34:14-15
Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal’ (John 12.24-25).
God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth (John 4:24)
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. (2 Corinthians 4:16)
Abstain from every form of evil. (1 Thessalonians 5:22)
Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. (Psalm 139:7-10)
And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. (Colossians 1:17)
That they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us (Acts 17:27)
We look not at what is seen, but at what is not seen, for what is seen is temporary, but what is not seen is eternal!” (2 Cor 4:18)
These verses are Christian , hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, Jain, Muslim, Jewish, etc. Each religion can take oneness in this. Why? Do you think god, the one truth , changes? No.
I go and ask everyone in my city to describe the same sky we see everyday. The explanations and descriptions will vary but only to such an extent as it is the same sky we reach to grasp onto. Likewise, different creeds are merely explanations of God and how to get to eternity , yet there is such relation between them and such same practices because God can only be reached through different ways to such an extent. To work towards eternal life is a righteous lifestyle. And to indulge in sun to live in a evil and karmic lifestyle.
      Blessings to you.
