I like everyone that Taran has as a guest, but those rare times when Mike Bloom is around are whole another level. I can actually see that Taran is more interested in a conversation instead of using guests as sounding boards.
It boggles the mind that Quinn won HoH, planned to work with Makensy more closely, kept her safe after she has struggled to survive for a month and a half, had 4 slots to fill on the block and didn’t put her in any one of them, has a good personal relationship with her then proceeded to just sit back and do nothing while Chelsie reaped the benefits. It defies belief that he didn’t capitalize on this relationship when Makensy is always singing his praises and talks about how much she loves hanging out with him. I truly have no words. It can never be understated just how bad Quinn blundered this week. MaQuinnsy still endgame though 😏
One thing I haven't seen discussed too much is that although the AI arena does make it easier for comp beasts to keep themselves safe, on the flipside, it also makes it harder for comp beasts to take out their targets when they are in power.
Mike Bloom said it best, this ai arena twist worked because of this cast. When we see it play out with a structured house, the big alliance will game it to their benefit.
chelsie's social and strategic savviness has been great to watch. i think she has absolutely been the most adaptable as she has been able to play from the top, bottom, and middle position. i will say that i think this upcoming week she should try to blend into the background as i think people will soon try to take the shot as chelsie is very clearly a proactive player and jury threat.
Not much logic used by most of the houseguests in their decisions to be fair. Not just Quinn. I am not much of a strategist but I wanted Tkor to go up. Leave annoying Joseph out of it. Stop pandering to Tkor. She had her group. Don’t throw out an ally(Joseph) who trusts you to try to win Tkor- who doesn’t like u , doesn’t need you, has her own people.
Quinn advocating for Joseph to stay who had a final two with Tucker but hating T’Kor/Kimo/Rubina for “choosing Tucker over him”. It’s like he’s only mad the girls and the gays liked Tucker. I think Quinn really wanted to be the Tucker of this season, adored by all the girls but still cool with the guys. Instead they all just see him as a dork even Leah the girl he likes doesn’t see him the way she saw Tucker.
I'll be honest, I view the AI Arena as a bad twist that we got the best possible version of. Not only does it put even more focus onto comps, but it only really creates this level of chaos with a super messy cast like this. I also think it takes away a little too much power from the HOH in a way that disincentivizes hpothetical underdogs since now they not only have the pre-existing 2 points of strategic consideration. (Noms and potential renom), but you now have a element that defines the week that is entirely comp focused/random. So if this were your average big brother season, any underdog who manages to win HOH now isn't even guaranteed to shake things up if they play things perfectly. Take Jessica's HOH in BB21. With AI Arena in place, that week would likely never have happened. If anything, the AI Arena actually REMOVES an option for the HOH because now a true backdoor is literally impossible. And there isn't a new option presented as an alternative.
I agree 100%, I think AI Arena could’ve easily just been another camp comeback or BotB where a large alliance forms and the rest of the players have no way to play around it and just get thrown on the block every week. The casting is what made the twist work. If we didn’t have players like Angela and Tucker willing to overthrow every power structure in their wake or players like T’Kimo who hold a lot of power but were too timid to use it until last minute, this twist would’ve been a complete flop.
I think it’s ran its course. The final few is right now, we’ll have 9 people left in the game after tonight’s eviction so a bad Veto outcome would force the HoH to put up half the house. I think the risk of someone getting screwed over is too high and it blocks interesting gameplay when the HoH has to just throw someone up as opposed to having a strategic plan for the week.
I'm over it. This is why we never have game talk on the feeds. Noone wants to commit to anything bc they don't know what's going to happen in the AI Arena.
I think Makensy is on the precipice of a blunder with this vote. She has been in a survival mindset for a month and a half and only recently got guaranteed safety. She had the right instincts at the beginning of the week, but is letting herself get talked out of it due to short-term fears because her game was only ever about the short-term just a week ago. Long-term the girls alliance (especially if Kimo is there) doesn’t benefit her. It keeps the strong trio of T’kor, Kimo, and Rubina who all prioritize each other over anyone else and also all prioritize Chelsie over anyone else. That means it’s effectively a block of four. Even if Chelsie doesn’t want Makensy gone, she would still have to contend with the Trio and would have little to no numbers of her own to fight back. Not to mention, that the Trio sees Makensy as a massive jury threat and have talked about wanting her gone in a few weeks. She would be potentially burning Quinn who wants to work more closely with her for a trio who are only using her now out of desperation. Even Joseph is open to working with her as he has no one outside of Quinn and Leah. Makensy needs to ensure as best as possible that she can approach deals with the upper hand. She just got some semblance of power. She can’t so freely give it back out of short-term fears. The reality of all this should scare her into realizing what her optimal move should be, but I don’t know if she sees it quite that way.
For better or worse, Quinn will be a player nobody soon forgets. He might be failing his way in to the bb history book but he’s undeniable at this point. Sicknasty indeed.

Mike wasn't wrong with his analysis of the T'Kor/Quinn conversation but he didn't mention T'Kor 's hypocrisy there about being indignant that Quinn shouldn't be mad at her and Kimo for the Cedric thing bc "wow people get mad at you for doing what you're supposed to do" but she's mad at Quinn for doing the exact same thing to her last week and she won't acknowledge that lol.
They're all hypocrites, although I will say T'kor actually acknowledged that it was fair for Quinn to vote out Tucker and that she wasn't mad because of that. What she didn't agree with was that he put her two closest allies on the block, whilst she kept him and Leah (and Joseph) off the block on her HoH. Also Quinn himself has been preaching about how he can't believe people would choose Tucker over him, whilst he created a final 2 with Joseph and told him that he trusts him more than anyone else in the game. The same Joseph who actually had a final 2 with Tucker that he was loyal to, who also blindsided Quinn over the Cedric vote. I've never seen Quinn acknowledge that hypocrisy. Quinn's even fine with Leah after she chose Angela over him.
