      Man, I kind of bristled at Adam's comment that CEE does the same things he does at a larger scale. I mean, yes, it's a milling and turning and pressing and troubleshooting and both are impressive in their own way. But, I don't know, most of what Adam does is stuff for fun because he's successful enough to not really need to do "work" to put food on his table anymore (and even when he was doing stuff to put food on the table, a lot of it was "fun" stuff). Adam is like a professional hobbyist and Kurtis is a professional ... professional. They don't seem that similar to me. No offense to Adam or anything.

    • @trikstari7687
      @trikstari7687 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@delucain I think his comment was more along the lines of "Holy shit, I'm really just playing around with tonka trucks while this guy is driving a full sized mining excavator" kind of thing.
      I think it was more of his gaining a bit of context and self awareness of the small scale of what he does compared to someone like Kurtis.

    I'm not surprised that Adam would wish to visit your shop. I think all of us that have been watching for a while feel the same way. You guys should built a B&B and have tours of the shop for extra income.

      I work 3rd shift in the US, can't wait for the video to drop and a coffee break to enjoy some of the video. Videos are posted about 3am here. Excellent work from you both. Thanks for taking the time to share what you do.

    So satisfying to see old, possibly abused, parts get repaired, made right and come out looking tip top. I’d like to say when we repair crushers it’s the same, but those things are ran till they die and then some. 😂 excellent work as always mate.

      You must not know Adam's politics, or what he's said about anyone that doesn't think exactly like him. Down-to-Earth is the very last thing Adam Savage is. He is a phony. The person on you see on TV is not who he really is. Imagine that!...

    Hey look at that.. You bought a Cylinder kit (some assembly required) haha.. I love you just whipping up some new cylinders.. Youre hell of a machinist.. Great video, Kurtis! As a mechanical engineer and a fellow TH-cam creator, I really appreciate the level of detail and craftsmanship you put into your projects. The process of rebuilding the boom lift cylinders on the Franna crane is fascinating. It's impressive how you're able to fabricate new rods, cylinder rod eyes, and barrels to restore the crane's functionality.

    I love the fact u put the bloopers in shows us that things are not perfect all the time and makes us more relatable. That’s why I love watching you. It’s really interesting because you never know how hard it is just to make things run because everything we see half the time goes, smooth, special machinery, the one that goes bad who fixes it, and how they fix it I never knew want to tell. I started watching your channel. Keep it up the great work you do.

    I was surprised that Kurtis didn't use the tale stock chuck to hold the honed tube while he cut the steady rest spot. I feel that would have centered the tube ID better. But every machinist has their own approach. Thanks for your time that you share with us. I have spent my whole life as a machinist and Kurtis is about the only machinist I enjoy watching work. Keep up the good fight.
