Seems like all Kensington boils down to is an open air hospital and psyche ward.
    🥺

I've been trying to think of a word or statement for what this is. "Open Air Hospital and 5051 Psych Ward" is perfect!

If this isn't out of control then the definition of control has changed. It is going to take drastic measures to fix this.

Just wondering how many times EMS and the police see this in a day. Either a bad dose of the drug or to much. Prayers for that person

This is nothing, so many addicts have seen someone die from an overdose right in front of them and not even that is enough to stop them using. Not to mention all the addicts who have almost died from an overdose themselves and keep using!!! Addiction is so powerful it overrides all those fears.

0:07 @@xrfordgalgot you kid. Not gonna get into war stories. All drugs bad. SEEN it all. In my 60's. Seen my friend's parents set them on fire, preschool, 3 little white coffins. Buried in Mikey Mouse pajamas. High school...cut their hands off, at parties, they said someone was grabbing their hands...but nobody was there?? Acid! All drugs are deadly.. We ain't here 2 compare. 😢😢😢😢 Educate

I wonder if these were free-sample folks, but probably not. It was late in the day... I wonder when seizures are likeliest to occur -- shortly after 'consumption' or an accumulation during a day?

I’m not sure she’ll be fine after that seizure. It lasted several minutes before medical aid arrived!
      The results could be catastrophic!
I’m not sure if she’s been living her best life either! Living with an addiction and in poverty isn’t a good life, but if compared to the life she escaped, maybe she is….
      Just food for thought 💭

What are you expecting them to do? They’re down there in the middle of basically what is hell on earth, trying to make some kind of sense out of it. For the most part, their hands are tied. They can barely keep these people from killing themselves and killing one another. Actually, they can’t even do that.

Happens constantly. This lady will do this to herself again the moment she is released from the hospital. Nothing they can do. Cops are there for OD control and violence control. That's it.

How about you wonder... how many times that day did they already bring somebody back only to be spat upon or called horrible names for ruining "their high". Yes, it seems cold & callous. It's all part of life down there. At that point there was nothing that the cops could do. They called the people (medics) who have the tools to help. I know so many cops that had to leave Philly for suburban police depts because of burn out. It's only getting worse. I pray for that woman. I hope she sees this video. Sadly, unless they want help, there is nothing anyone can do to get them help.

What was their role in this situation? What value did they offer?

These people try to fight, Ems and police if they reverse their high , these same people try to fight the firemen coming to put out their illegal fires. Unless you do this everyday you wouldn't know , an officer here once out of probation is $66,183, not 89 .. educate yourselves - She making money exploiting people on you tube and showing you guys misery , Giving people nicknames and showing things she shouldn't be sharing.

I hear what you’re saying and I understand the frustration of the police and the emergency services. Having to respond to the same people for the same reasons would be extremely annoying but it is what it is!
As an officer, one of their primary responsibilities is to serve and protect. They are public servants remunerated by the state government!
Depending on their years of service, the pay scale ranges from 66K to 91K. You’re comment focused on the low end of the scale, mine focused on the higher end is all!
Regardless of what the officers earn, this video shows two officers taking through the window of a police vehicle for almost 10 minutes, while a member of the public tries to assist someone seizing on the sidewalk, walking waiting for emergency services to arrive!
You may not approve of these videos which is perfectly fine, so don’t watch them! For me, I believe they shine a spotlight on a very serious social issue that is eating away at the country’s soul!
I understand the struggle and frustration the police and emergency services face every day but it’s their chosen courier……
Please don’t come for me again….,
