I've been using this forever. Perfect for the guy that just needs a couple of basic settings. I can't stand delay pedals that have way too many options
I had the original too (sold it 'cause I'm an idiot), and the only two differences I can tell are 600ms as opposed to 300ms, and on the original, it was possible to turn the blend all the way up and get rid of the original completely, which I liked. That way, you could send the original to one amp and have the echoes on a second one. Also, with just one repeat and the shortest delay, you could use that lo-fi sound without echoes. I don't quite understand why they decided to keep the original signal always audible in the new one. Other than that ... LOVE IT.
Very nice review and truthfully very surprised. Ibanez pedals in my experience haven't been all that well but this thing has a fantastic delay sound to it. May be getting one myself one of these days.
The case? Yeah it’s very solid and cool. Made in Japan. The little knobs aren’t the best I’ve used but overall it’s a pretty good design. Part of the reason I got 2 of them.
Very nice sounds, but a real shame that the footswich has pop when activating the effect. A legendary brand in effects like Ibanez, never missed that little big flaw. It was what made me give up buying it.
I always run modulation, time based effects thru the fx loop. Of course it's personal preference, and genre you're seeking. Great review, but I wished you had put it after the overdrive, for the warm trails etc. Something for the youngsters, or old Prog, or classic rock, i.e. Gilmore, Satch, Vai, Govan, and the like. Please don't take me the wrong way, I'm being totally constructive here. I'm a huge PG fan, so keep at it. Ain't nuthin' rong with learnin'' folks. Ha!
Blend all the way up is 50/50 wet dry. That’s not good enough imo. And 600ms while short is ok for an analog delay. But the pedal cuts the higher frequencies from your dry signal even with blend all the way down. Not quite good enough.

Easy problem to fix. Just leave it permanently on and use a loop switcher to turn it on and off.
Or run a buffer, because that tends to get of them too.
