I have heard of this Clean vs Dirty dichotomy a lot, but I don't let that stop me from doing what I want. I prefer breeding for stats, pretty markings, and special bases over the challenge of clean breeding. My heir is dirty, and I know this because I was actually curious about his heritage. So I went through every single lion in his tree and got this: Dad: None visible on page Paternal Grandpa: None visible on page Mother of Grandpa of Grandpa: 1 instance Grandpa of Mother of Grandpa of Grandpa: 2 instances Mother of Grandpa of Mother of Grandpa of Grandpa: 6 instances and well, let's just say there are a lot more visible if you look all the way through his tree. You literally had to go into that lion's great x2 grandparents ancestors to find a common ancestor... I do not get this community at all.. for trying to go realistic, they're really not being realistic in considering 4-6th something cousins give or take to be inbred... Wtf
Breeding in a game, and breeding in real life are two different things. The majority of players are just considering how challenging they can make it for themselves, rather than considering whether it's realistic. Some will go as simple as not wanting to breed siblings, or parents and offspring together. Some don't want to see any lion appearing more than once on the first page, and they'll ignore the rest. For those that want a big challenge, they'll look at the entire lineage. The game itself doesn't care about inbreeding(or realism in general, given the spotted, striped, pink and green lions we can have). The message on the lineage page was added after players requested it, to make seeing duplicate ancestors easier to spot at a glance.
@@legacera I know the game itself doesn't care. Personally, If I was focused on clean lineages I'd just focus on what's on the first page because anything in the 2nd page and beyond would be 4th cousins or more.
