    For years I blamed my own face for creasing in the eye area (under eye and lid). I finally realized my eye cream (though lovely for night time) had a significant amount of oil in it; oil breaks down makeup. I switched creams for makeup application and never had a creasing problem again. Tati is so good with these tips love!

    The video quality is so clear!! Damn!! I needed this video. Just something to cheer me up. (yay for being a few months short of 40 with some major fertility issues) I just watched your first live on replay this morning to just distract me. There's a sense of familiarity about you, like oh im just listening to my friend tati talk about makeup. We've been "friends" since the OG days of camera on your balcony and just listening to you talk about makeup tips just eases my heart from the heaviness i feel. So thanks for that.

    Thank you for a great video! I really appreciate that you highlighted the importance of clean brushes! I see so many creators here on TH-cam that have the gnarliest brushes and sponges! I spot clean my brushes during the week and do a real clean on the weekend. I understand that when working with makeup as a creator it can result in many brushes, and cleaning them can be boring and time consuming. But in the end it’s worth it!
    Thanks for the q - tip trick! 💕

    Oh Tati! We live in Texas, DFW area, and we had squirrels inside our walls. From the video, I am 99% sure you guys are having the same problem. We had to call a special guy to come and get them out. He put a trap, and then we had to seal our vents on the roof with flashing all over. It was expensive, but a must do. You do not want any of them to bite into cables and cause a fire, or eat through the insulation.

    I am chronically dehydrated and used to be addicted to lip treatments. For the past year I have been applying lactic acid to them at night and one of my facial serums in the morning. I hardly ever have chapped lips anymore. Dr. Idris also has a TH-cam short video on 'lip basting' where she uses glycolic acid and then 'bastes' her lips in moisturizer overnight. I hope this helps, since it made a huge difference for me (drinking free water is still apparently too hard for me ;)

    RE: alternatives to the LaNeige lip treatment, just go with something cheaper with less fancy vibe and packaging but basically work and even look the same at a fraction of the cost: Vaseline lip therapy in the Rosy lips shade. Comes in an adorable miniature Vaseline container, and has a rosy tint simliar to the once much-hyped....oh what was the name of it? That rosebud salve? the name is eluding me. Also the BEST performing AND smelling hand (and body) cream I may have ever tried is: Dionis Hand & Body Goat Milk Cream in the scent Sea Treasures. I got mine at CVS, it wasn't super expensive, maybe $8 or $9 tops.Also, you wanted a hair recommendation. Here's my recommendation to you that is THE secret of how I turn my frizzy, naturally curly hair into a smooth as silk, frizz free mane (besides blowout and Kristin Ess shampoo/conditioner and a pre-blowdry pump of John Frieda Frizz-Ease serum).....here it is, wait for it.....a post-shampoo lamellar rinse. My fave is L'oreal Elvive 8 second Wonder Water. I'm pretty confident you will LOVE this immediately and it will become part of your hair routine. As I'm gonna be launching my own beauty (primarily makeup, some skincare) content channel on YT soon, If you do try this and love it, or even if you dont, please let me know what you think. xoxo, love you Tati!

    About cleaning brushes, here’s what finally worked for me. I have one container for dirty brushes. At night, before I wash my face, I use Cinema Secrets to clean the brushes in that container. By the time I’m done with evening skin prep, the brushes are dry. I then put them back in the clean brush containers. A little OCD, I know, but it’s my thing.

    • @ronnie-lynn
      @ronnie-lynn ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      OCD is literally a serious mental health disorder that is debilitating intrusive thoughts making it so you have to obsess and compulse. For example; if you don’t clean the make up brushes your entire family will die in a car crash. It might be a little “type A personality”, or a little “neat freak” of you. But it is NOT a little OCD…… sorry as someone who suffers, it really bothers me how people misuse this term to identity being clean or organized.

    I got the first like! Always love your videos and I can't begin to tell you how many tips of yours are incorporated into my daily routine! And I have been around for a while doing my make-up. (i'm 64). Especially loved the make up video you did with your mom back in the day applying her make-up. Completely changed my eye shadow application and IMHO, it makes me look more youthful. So, THANK YOU! Rose
