lewis and nico have a very very interesting relationship. they are absolutely worth a reaction video themselves. theres a super long video called "origins of the silver war" that i cant reccomend enough but it is most likely far too long for a reaction video, but im sure there are other videos that explain it or if youd want to watch it on your own time. they were inseparable for a long long time and clearly, things changed. their rivalry has its own wikipedia page, too, if thats easier for you to do. lewis and nico are pretty much the same age, i think just months apart. it comes down to both fo them wanting to be number one but there only being room for one number one.
Hamilton actually came into F1 only a year after Rosberg. Rosberg was also teammates with the 7 time champion legend Michael Schumacher in his final years, Schumacher made a comeback with Mercedes in 2010-2012 after initially retiring from the sport in 2006, Hamilton replaced Schumacher after he retired for the second and last time at the age of 43, so Rosberg has had some of the toughest teammates ever in the history of the sport, and he went toe to toe with them.
Nico had sacrificed nearly all of this time on beating Lewis. So much that he didn't have the time to become a father to his daughters. If Nico didn't win the championship, Nico would have to continue his job until he wins a championship, and he would risk destroying his family life. He later stated in an interview that he appointed a psychologist daily just to keep him in check from all the psychological strain he had just to maintain the same level as Lewis. So in many ways, winning the championship in 2016 was the best thing to have happened to Nico
Nico is German. Keke Rosberg, his father is from Finland. Keke won the F1GP world championship, so when Nico won the wc they became the 2nd father and son to do this. The first was Damon Hill in 1996, his father Graham Hill was also a f1gp world champion.
Yeaaah thx for reacting bro ✌🏽 And Nico started in F1 one year before Lewis they were pretty much at the same age...the rivalry basically started in 2014 and in 2016 Lewis was a 3x world champion already so he was a top dog 😂...they were teammates as kids in go karting too...the thing is that Nico retired right after he won the world title in 2016 what surprised the whole world of motorsports
He's not the greatest to race for the "silver arrows" but he sent the greatest message by hanging up his helmet after beating the one who would be the best. "I only have to beat you once."
He just wanted to achieve what his dad did and his job was done. Thats why he retired only 31 years old. Another reason was that he was already married and had a kid. He had no reason to still risk his life every week
This guy doesnt get the story about Nico and Lewis. They are same generation. They came in formula 1 at almost the same time. Lewis had 3 titles before Nico got his one in 2016. He was in f1 from 06 to 16 and Lewis is in F1 from 2007 till today.
One thing that pissed off lewis was Nico retiring right after winning the championship. Lewis obviously wanted revenge and he thought Nico was running from the battle because if we are all being honest with ourselves, there would be no doubt that Lewis would win the 2017 championship even if Nico was in it. Overall Lewis is and was the superior driver but especially that 2016 season from Nico was his peak and matched Lewis that year
One thing people forget is that Lewis isn't married and doesn't have kids so he can devote his entire time to F1 whereas Nico has a family and kids so he can't give his 100 percent without compromising his family and Rosberg accepted that to beat Lewis you need to give your 100 percent and giving that 100 percent meant comprising his family for Nico and that's why he retired. I think Lewis and Nico are on the same level in terms of skills and capabilities it's just that they both have a completely different lifestyle outside of F1 that affects their performance on track.
@@spandanduari5658 completely wrong if you think Lewis only devotes time to f1 the amount of projects he has outside of the sport is enormous. Many of the people on the grid have kids aswell so it’s not a valid excuse imo
I can understand why Nico retired after that season. Because that relationship with Lewis was really bad, toxic and unhealthy for any humanbeing. And for me that watched that season. I understand why.

Well.. Nico is the only one to defeat both Michael & Lewis in a race with the same car.
That's the highlight. That's the feat!

That’s a message lol
Lets goooo! Keep it up. Amazing video as always!
It was their first win since 1955 because Mercedes left F1 at the end of 1955 and returned in 2010.
Chaz is so underrated. Keep up the good work.
16:53 what Lewis did what unsportsmanlike. He showed his true nature
there have been unsportsmanlike moment from Lewis, but that wasn't one of them, it was just strategy, every other driver would have done the same
Actually nico rosberg got the highest score on his aptitude test for williams and retired winning the f1 world championship in 2016 and his a youtuber
Nice video
Nico And Lewis Dominate The 2014-16
He just wanted to achieve what his dad did and his job was done. Thats why he retired only 31 years old. Another reason was that he was already married and had a kid. He had no reason to still risk his life every week
Ah the last champion before everything went.
I recommend you watch the video "How to beat Lewis hamilton", it tells everything about the rivalry between Rosberg and Hamilton
Watch 10 moments of niki Lauda brilliance
The reason for the gap in wins is beause mercedes left in 1955 after a acccident what killed 80+ fans
Oh damn…
