I first watched this as a child and since then have been hooked on teochew opera. Over the years I have watched many different versions by some more recent renounced opera singers but honestly none could match the original. I especially like the opera singer who sang the part of the unfortunate victim who died. She was simply divine in her role..from her voice to her movement... All so natural and didn't seem like acting. Pity I have never been able to find her in another role.
