Good video, I just finished my BTEC in engineering. We had resubmissions but I barley had any assignments to resubmit because time efficiency is key. I think it’ll vary from different colleges because ours had a lot of poor mistakes especially in year 1 and second half of year 2. The hardest units weren’t taught properly so it lead to huge issues but it’s best to anticipate that based on last year and then prepare beforehand.
Any tips on any books or any youtbers do you recommend as im startin my first yr in September and i want to start to take schll serious and do work at home and free periods
@@Kha_57 Not if you want good grades it isn’t. You have to put in the work or else you don’t get what you want. Engineering and easy don’t come hand in hand. Plus the qualification doesn’t mean much if you don’t get good grades and you have to struggle to be an engineer.
@@youbeeaywhy2060I’d recommend becoming proficient in maths and physics early on because it will help you in this course. This includes algebra, trigonometry and calculus. I picked up a John bird book in engineering mathematics 4th edition and I’d recommend a good book from that author because it’s applied and specific. Apart from that it’s a research intensive course so you’ll need to be comfortable researching, writing in your own words, Referencing, and using parts manuals. You must pick up a specification specific to your course (go look online) There are 3 learning aims and these are spread out into 3 assignments. Put effort into your assignments, follow a structure and use diagrams to help you understand. Try to understand as much as you can and revise early for your exams. Remember it’s more than just grades , you gotta understand things if you want to be an engineer and you’ll gain a lot of skills. Good luck
Teachers are not allowed to answer questions any longer with direct answers on BTEC too, we have to give you the book to look up or at the very least tell students to ask the question in a different way so we can answer it.
@@jcoul1sc yh i have the revision book but i still struggle. Could you please help me with my assignments? That's what i struggle with most and teachers aren't allowed to help you with that.
Hello there, thanks for the informative video - really helpful. Would it be possible to let me know some specific assignments that you were set? You mentioned you had to do a presentation - do you remember what criteria you had to cover in the presentation? What different assignment tasks were you given? projects??? Thanks
Hello there sir I got a triple Distinction in BTEC applied science but I wanted a D*. I checked my ucas points and I scored 144 points, is triple Distinction a good grade
Yes because at a level it is the same as getting AAA at A level. I’m doing an extended btec and am aiming for D*D*D* because although DDD is still a good grade a level students may look at this as rubbish because in their eyes it’s a btec full of coursework but to get D*D*D* you need to pretty much get distinctions and merits in exam units along with distinctions in the rest of your coursework so your perceived better with this grade.
@@shuhanuddin3571 yea my grades currently rn is dm for btec level 3 business and m for level 3 IT and thats all i need to get into uni so my mind is at ease.
Please add if this was for QCF or for RQF BTEC - as your inofo may be out of date for RQF and students could think its relevant but does not apply. Also not sure if your mentioned Harvard or referencing or not.
Got my results today (GCSEs) and didn’t do quite well in maths but did quite well in science got a double AA fortunately and aspire to do medicinebut afraid I might not get in - Do u still think by doing the btec l3 extended diploma in BSc is a good choice? Would rlly appreciate ur advice
If you grades aren’t good you could go level 3 BTEC foundation diploma for 2 years and you could get BTEC level 3 extended at the end of two years and get into uni
So I am taking Btec law which is equivalent = 1 Alevel and Btec business which is equivalent = 2 Alevel so can I do law degree in uni with the btec I have choose
You can through different routes. One route is taking foundation year medicine. Another route is through graduate entry doing a degree in biomed or any related health sciences and applying for medicine which is one of the most common routes people take.
Loved this video, it was very helpful & informative! I’m so happy to see more videos for Btec students!😊🤩
Thank you for sharing your journey, it was very informative!
Thanks for the video. I am in my second year. On my assignments, I think I should read books and use them.

it only applied science i think.
