I had a cheap battery powered one in the past but that tended to be jerky after a while, and with the added pain of needing batteries or a computer usb connection.
This lightweight unit can rotate items up to 10kg and has a built in led light in the middle.
I really like this unit, as it has a gentle speed of approx 45 seconds per revolution. If that is too slow for you, just speed up your video when you are converting it for youtube etc.
It only has 2 switches, on/off and led on/off
Perfect for displaying a vast range of items small or large, models, jewellery, watches, perfume, books, ornaments, glass items, tools, etc etc
I did a quick display of a model car and glass sweet dish to show how smooth it is.
The best thing, it is quiet, only a faint murmur that the camera did not pick up.
It turns both ways, and it is a lucky dip what direction it starts. To change it, just switch off and turn on again and that normally changes direction.
The led light is very useful if displaying glass objects or using it as a display unit at night
    Approx Sizes are
    Diameter: 25cm/9.8"
    Height: 3.6cm/1.4"
    200V~240V / 50Hz
    The Cable Length approx 1.8m
    Load Capacity: 10kg max
It comes delivered in a light cardboard box with bubble wrap inside, as in the photos, personally I would have added more packaging but it arrives safe and sound.

Thanks for the demonstration of this item, I've been looking for something to revolve collectables in my videos rather than point them at the camera by hand. And this seems perfect. It looks smooth and not jittery like some other options out there! Cheers!

I have used quite a few times now and really like it. Nice and slow gives camera enough time to show. Also very quiet with only a slight murmur not even picked up by camera.

Very nice video, though I have a question. I am thinking of upgrading to this display turntable, but I have seen reviews where it says it picks which direction it goes in, is that true or can you select which way you want it to turn?

yes it decides itself which way to turn. just turn off and then back on again 50/50 what direction it goes, no big problem. We have used it for may things now especially on some ebay items that now sold.
