The owner said because he 's using Metal hard light and it 's making the reflect on their eyes . and some of them cannot eat faster than another one so that's why some of them look skinny.
DevasChannel Sorry it has nothing to do with the lightning. The whole way that they appear is indication that something is wrong. They are all dark, keep their fins tight to their body and no one looks dominate of them. Tell the owner to read more about discus before getting them. They are not fit for aquascaped tanks with alot of plants. Plants like aquariums with lower temperatures and discus is the other way around.
Fredrick Johansson Thanks for suggesting . Actually He already said in this clip .....He adjusts the temperature to 29 degree celsius . It is the middle way to keep the plant and wild discus together and I believe It's very hard way to deal with this tank cause moss love low temperature and Wild discus and all discus love high temperature . So this is the hard way for fish lover and He has another tank , He keeps the discus without the plant and adjust to 33 degree celsius. They look well ............one more reason that he builds this tank cause he wants to keep wild discus and plant together . This is the higher step of wild discus and discus lover .....:) but I will tell him about your suggestion.......Thanks anyway
Just to add a few words. I know the tank owner personally and understand that he has a complex lighting system above the tank (combination of MH, LED, and T5) to provide sufficient light spectrum to his plant. Also he himself is an avid discus fan, so, when he said it's a reflect in the fish's eyes, then I see no point not to believe him. He further confirmed that when he turned of the light then the "cloud" did disappear. Talking about the fish's behavior, he's fully aware that the fish is not yet in the optimal situation as the water temperature was 29 degree Celsius, a half-way compromise between plant and discus. He's looking at having a new dedicate take for them but that might take some time. For the mean time, I'd say that the fish is sufficiently well kept though not ideal. Anyway, thanks for your suggestion. I'm sure that tank owner would appreciate it.
Ekkarat Klinbubpa I have had MH, LED, and T5 lighting and the eyes have never got cloudy if it has not been a problem with the fish. He says that the "cloud" disapears when he turns of the light, yes ofcourse becouse then you wont se anything, right? What i wanted to say is if you want to have fish in an aquascape, get the fishes that lives in those kind of habitats. Like this one with a green carpet and alot of plants i would go with cardinal tetras. If he was such an avid discus fan he should keep them in their kind of living situations instead of mixing his interests, planted tanks and wild discus. I got several kind of wild discus myself but i would never put them in a tank like this couse it is doomed to get problems with either the fish or the plants.
Wow. What a beautiful great Discus aquarium.
I thought moss don't grow in warm water? Does anyone. I the answer or what kind of moss that is.
น้ำใสจังพึ่งเปลี่ยนน้ำใหม่หรือยังไง ทำไงให้น้ำใสแบบนี้ตลอด 7 วันอะครับ
beautiful aquarium, congratulations!
what size does it have?
The discus look sick. The eyes are cloudy wich would indicate a problem with bacteria and som are pretty skinny. But the tank looks good.

Wow that aquascape is amazing!! Discus not so much.......
I feel sorry for the discus, they look so sick. :(
Poor discus, they're all half dead!
Great tank! Enjoy the private tanks.
Discus look great! how long have you had them? keep up the great work!
I just ask the owner . He said 5 years ....:)
They look horrible, cloudy eyes and slim!
Your Discus have cloudy eyes pay more attention to the fish instead of how your tank looks
These fish would do well with a tad more cover and maybe some increased water movement.
Water is so dirty,JESUS GIVE ME THAT TANK!!!
scape looks nice but the discus are definitely not well .
Trade Discus keeping for Angelfish. I'm sure now 3 year later all those are dead. Like the other guy said- nice tank. Just not right for Discus.
i dont understand what they said but i understand all this discus ready to fire up
Can't anyone see what a terrible state this fish? She's all sick because of the wrong maintenance.
