Technically Bedrock never really support modding, they are just add-ons and they work entirely different from modding on java. add-on just add custom model and texture with built-in command block's functionality that already exist in Bedrock. while modding in java will literally let you do whatever you want to add into the game. also modding only possible because of FORGE, FABRIC and ETC. Simply put. Add-on are VERY limited meanwhile Mod offer you endless possibilities. Btw don't hate Minecraft Java, he's literally Bedrock's father.
