How to repair LCD with dark circle

This was done on an air conditioner controller but should work with other LCDs.

This "dark circle" also occurs on calculator. Will try your solution next time I encountered this LCD "dark circle" problem.

It didnt mention some remote has many layers and when i tried to remove 1layer the rest also peel off..resulted a clear glass that doesnt work anymore!

could have used aluminium duct tape instead.

Good point, actually tried that but the White Paper give a better reflection of light, then you can see the text better.

But do let us know how it went if you tried, I didn't get very good results, so recommended white paper
